Thanks for thye replies, I just wander should we just turn up as ask for the points or should I just call back and say we just want points and no test drive? I am thinking it would be better to just turn up and then they will probably just offer points rather than waste their time and petrol!
  • Really nice man at our local dealers gave me & hubby back our vouchers to use again. We can't use them again 'cos we're going away in about 15 minutes. First two people to PM me their details are welcome to them - be quick though, we really need to get going ASAP.

Edit: Vouchers have now gone - thanks for all the interest, sorry I don't have time to reply to everyone.

In common with previous posters, we visited our local dealership yesterday and a salesman took a photocopy of my Nectar card and promised to add the points on Tuesday, as the terminal was inside the parts dept which was closed. No receipt though, so no proof if the points fail to materialise. The salesman suggested adding the points without us actually doing the test drive, which suited us fine, although we had actually been looking forward to a test drive! Seems to defeat the whole object of the promotion.

Having read this thread, I'm uncomfortable to hear that some Ford dealerships have been a bit awkward or uncooperative about adding the points if they don't think they're going to sell a car to you.

Just to reiterate what's already been said, it's Ford UK giving the £50, not the dealership. It's coming out of their marketing budget. The dealership may be in breach of their contract with Ford UK if they get awkward about giving the points. If anyone has persistent problems with getting the points I'd suggest they call Ford's customer relations department on 0845 841 1111.

Is that the one on Oxney Road (T C Harrison I think?). If it is I went there as well so let me know how you get on. Ill update once the points have been credited but need to allow 28 days as per the t&c's before kicking off.

Has everybody had to show the coupon in the paper or just taken their nectar card and driving license?

They took our coupons and kept them

I took the chance to talk to our dealer about the £4996 KAs that have been mentioned in another MSE Grabbit thread. He said they have already hit their target for car sales, no way they could come anywhere near that price, and that it's a great price for a brand new KA
