BE QUICK!... 10,000 Nectar points (£50) for Ford test drive

I have just checked my account and its not showing yet. I did get like a little credit card clip with my nectar card number and stuff on. I think i remember in the t and C's that it can take up to 28 days for your points to be put on.

Yipee! 10,000 points added and no need to test drive. I went down at 9.40 this morning and was the first person they had had. Everyone in the sales room was getting quite excited and saying they were going to phone their mums' to come down with their nectar cards!

Myself and the wife have just been up to Allen Ford in Northampton, SA took away our driving licences and nectar cards, brought them back a few minutes later, no need to test drive. Asked him why we weren't given a slip showing the points had been added, he said it is their Deeping branch that will actually add the points
Came back home and our coffees were still warm, if these points are credited that will be £100 for about 15 minutes effort, yippee! :j

Hmmm, I just called my local dealer and they didn't seem to want to say that we could just have the points, but then again I didn't ask! I was to scared to say that we just want points, but maybe I will say that when we go in? They wanted us to say which car we wanted to test and then make a booking, is that what other have done? I was to scared to say we weren't bothered about the drive! Those of you that have the points, did you just go in and ask or did you have the test booked? Sorry to ask i'm just worried that we will drive there and then be told we can't have the points without a test and that we can't test because they have no cars ready! It is quite a long drive so we only want to go once!

I phoned this morning, was asked did I really want a test drive or just the points, said If I'm being honest, just the points, he said no problem, pop down with the docs which I did straight away and came away with a receipt showing 10000 points!! now just got towait for them to be credited!!!

I was honest - said that I was only after the nectar points. Salesman was fine. I guess they'd rather us be honest with them than waste both their time and ours on the sales spiel knowing there's no intention whatsoever to buy the car.

Yeah, I'm dubious about whether my 10,000 points have/will be added.
Went to local(ish) Ford garage in Peterboro' this morning. Explained to salesperson that I would like a test drive, and I have a coupon for the points promotion.
He pleaded ignorant. Anyway after he'd wasted nearly an hour of my time prattling on about the 2" overall difference in size of a Fusion to a Fiesta (yawn, yawn) - off he went to photocopy my Driving Licence and nectar card - saying no need for a test drive, the points will be added.
I left there totally unconvinced that he'd actually do it. I will be watching my nectar account on-line closely to see if they do get added. If not, I have his business card and will make a complaint against him, no fear.

Plenty of people that have telephoned have been fobbed off, some have even been told things that aren't true. Whether you're willing to drive that far for a chance of a free £50 is up to you, but the last thing they want to do is waste time trying to sell you a car if you're not interested

When we arrived my first words were "Hello, we've come for some Nectar points please", he replied "You've come for some Nectar points, so are you actually interested in buying a car from us?", I said "Well to be honest we came for the Nectar points, I don't want to mess you about and waste your time". He checked our documentation, asked if we had the paper part of our licences, both of us said we only had the front bit, then off he went and sorted it out

We bought 2 copies, doubt photocoipies would be acceptable, but don't know for sure
