Just been to dealer, I was stariaght and said wasn't fussed on test, so he said he would take details and coupon and process tomorrow (Tues)when service dept till is open. All done without wasting anybodys time, I'll be checking that he does what he says he'll do!0

Just gave the nearest Ford dealer a call and they said they cannot process the details today as a Bank Holiday but to come in any weekday and they will put points on the card straight away, did ask if I needed to test drive 1 of thier cars and she said no, so heres hoping.I hate migraines.0

Joey wrote:Where are all your dealers who are giving points without the drive? We went in today and were very honest about everything, said we weren't bothered when the drive was or what in as we were only really doing it for the points. He said he couldn't give us the points without a drive as you have to do the test drive to get the points, but that he couldn't book us in at the moment with them being short staffed (due to Bank Holiday) and that they wanted to give priority to buying customers otherwise the lads won't get paid today. Seems odd as we said to him that we don't want to waste your time and we appreciate we won't be given priority but makes me wonder why we couldn't just get the points to save their mither?
He also said it isn't the dealer who issues the points, it's Ford UK - so I doubt any of the dealers will mind how many people do it for points aside from the issue of them not making a sale.
Hi Joey, sounds like you hit on a bad dealer, he's proberbly **ssed of because he is working on a Bank Hol. It clearly states that you need to BOOK a test drive it doesn't say you only get points after taking test drive. Show him the TC's. OK there are 2 options. 1) go to another garage near you and book a test drive then present your coupon
2) go back tomorrow and try to BOOK a test drive, if he is still being **itty tell him you will phone/email head office. Good Luck Beth0 -

Thanks Beth, yes I think we must have hit a bad one unfortunately.
I've checked other dealers but this is by far the easiest to get to for us. They took our phone number and should be calling to arrange a test drive tomorrow, we're hoping we'll be able to get one on Saturday, or maybe an evening after work. I guess it's not too bad really, it's still £50 for half and hours work and we really want to put the money towards a PVR from Argos so it will be worth it.
Thanks again for the response and advice, if they are rubbish when they phone then I think I might have to complain - although he did say he was off tomorrow so hopefully it should be someone else who calls who may be more co-operative.0
