Dear Glamour Reader,

Thank you for entering our May giveaway Competition. We have to confess we’ve made an error (we’re only human!) and we published 500 winners of the 18th May Make Up Bag when in fact there were only 250. Some of you have already written in to say your name has appeared online but you have not won a prize – this is because of our mistake and we are truly sorry! We will amend this list but if you have received this email then unfortunately you have not won.

Once again we’re really sorry about this and we hope you’ll come back and enter again next May – plus we have regular competitions on GLAMOUR.com so check in every day for more news on these.

Thanks for this, i think they made loads of mistakes as i was on the list for at least three things and i recieved a hairdryer and i wasn't even on that list, but didn't get any of the others !

Me and my sister had both won - now we both have had the email. Absolutely gutted they have taken so long to inform us of "their" mistake

I am wondering whether anybody will receive the prize, or they are fabricating this story because of supllier problems to try and save face?

Oh Dear! My name is on the list. My daughter had this earmarked for herself, but looks like she won`t be getting it now. However, I did win a 20kg bag of horse food which I am giving to a friend as I don`t own a horse. Some you win, some you lose.

They should at least offer something as an alternative.

I have received an email too, as it was their mistake I think the least they could have done was to arrange for all 500 to receive a bag or a small token in compensation. Does anyone think it would be worth replying to them? I wonder how they picked the final 250 out of the 500 winners.

I've just had the e-mail too but am not on the list. They must be sending it to everyone who entered the giveaways.

My mum was on the list , its her 1st win ever, but she has just checked and she hasn't got the email, does this mean she will still get one?????
