I love smart price, its better than tesco value, easily! I regularly get -

    Tinned tomatoes
    Frozen chicken breasts - £3.75 for 1kg!
Frozen sausages - dread to think whats in them, but they are so tasty, like chip shop sausages!
7p curry sauce, again tastes like chip shop, awesome! I tend to divvy the jar up into tuppaware boxes, freeze the remainder and serve it over some chips for a quick lunch :)
Double concentrated orange juice is fab, blackcurrant is awful though!
Spreadable butter, slightly salted butter and reduced fat spread are all awesome!
Eggs and flour, no difference between them and the branded others!
The noodles are fab, none of the flavours taste like what they're meant to but they're nice enough, and you cant beat a 10p hot lunch at work, cheaper than sandwiches!

Avoid the frozen chips though, yuk!

The 'Smart Price' tissues are decent enough, but they've just risen in price from 25p to 47p: an 88% increase! That's no longer "Smart Price" in my books...

I pretty much buy everything value...one week I went to Lidl as everyone says it's so cheap and couldn't believe how dear everything was!

The frozen chicken is a bargain, the squash is fine and I wouldn't see why you wouldn't buy the tinned toms etc.

I will admit to buying Heinz beans but that's my only luxury! Well, along with Twinnings tea and Dowe Egberts coffee!

The smart price lemonade is ok mixed with squash but is nasty as a drink!
If my words are missing letters then please excuse me....my keyboard is a tad dodgy!!

The tinned tomatoes are perfectly acceptable if you're throwing them in a sauce. I also found the raisins OK to put on porridge, and the spaghetti hoops and tomato soup are also fine, although the soup sometimes needs tarting up a bit (red pesto or plain yoghurt).

Definitely don't buy Smart Price booze! The vodka is how I imagine drinking lighter fluid (a la Withnail and I) tastes - all mouth burny and horrible. Bleurgh.
