Some are good and some are bad but as an earlier poster said if you have it delivered and they haven't got the smartprice version you get a better one for the same price, I think the chicken portions are particularly good, the lamb from Asda of any hue always seems appalling.0

steer clear of SP Jaffa Cakes 50p for 12 what a rip off! One week they were more expensive then McVities :eek:0

I used to like the smartprice creme caramels but haven't seen them in my local ASDA for a while so it might just be the ASDA brand ones now.
Smart price ready to roll icing is good (better than any fondant icing I could make anyway!) and so are the smart price dolly mixtures (to decorate the cake of course!)0 -
the yorkshire puddings are really nice and only 44p fo 12 bargain0
-
Just been converted to Asda Smart Price double concentrated orange squash. It is 22p for a 750ml bottle which makes up to 7.5 litres if diluted per instructions and its really nice, I prefer it to Robinsons whole orange.
Regular SP stuff we buy are:
Tinned tomatoes
Tuna Chunks
Toilet roll
Jaffa Cakes
Ginger snaps
Frozen broccoli
Frozen cauliflower
Fresh mushrooms
Fresh carrots0 -
Everybodys tastes are different but would avoid:
Mushy Peas - they are yellow?? not green and taste funny
Flour if you intend to make yorkshires with it, you will end up with pancakes
Mayo - really runny and smells very vinegary
Ketchup - really runny DD hates it
sausages- don't know if there is any real meat in them, and if there is, don't think I want to know which part
good:
tin toms - not runny at all
beans
biscuits
turkey drumstick - when cooked will feed a family of 4, roast or stripped for curry, stew etc and only cost £1.49
mince - if you don't mind draining the water
toilet roll
cat food

I agree about the noodles they taste a lot better than Batchelors!!! Also like their chicken spread - yum yum
I love the chicken noodles also smart price whole tin tomatoes are the only ones I buy. Lemon double strength cordial is better than robinsons....
Rubber gloves and kitchen foil are also good buys.0
