Biscuits, except chocolate chip, tinned vegetables, sliced mushrooms, mushy peas, sweetcorn, chopped tomatoes, bananas and apples - all good. Didn't like yoghurts very watery and tasteless.Every day is a new life to a wise man.
Sufficient for the day are it's own worries.:cool::cool:0 -
My dogs love smartprice complete dog biscuits. I bought a few bags only 92p and a woman looked at me in disgust. I buy a few different types of biscuits for them but they always go off them and eat the smartprice.0

Pitta breads are small but yummy and only 19p a pack. Crumpets are good. Value whole chicken and chicken breasts taste, apart from the ridiculously expensive and nice M&S ones, taste just like any other chicken so always but them. Oh value mature cheddar is lovely but always worth a quick scan of the branded cheeses as sometimes cathedral etc is on offer and a bit cheeper. Have bought the value milk chocolate for rice crispy cakes and tasted a bit and its actually alright, but would rather pay the bit more for the own brand one. Not value but the asda frozen bags of corn on the cobs have 8 in a pack £1. They take a few minutes to microwave and taste gorgeous with a bit of butter. I tried fresh ones and those on the same night and didnt think the frozen ones were poorer quality and they were much more convenient and always have them in the freezer!
Value ice lollys are vile and taste of cheap sugar laden squash. Value bolognase sauce is made from puree and is watery and sugary.0 -
I can see by reading this that it is totally a matter of personal taste because I dislike with a passion their frozen mince and sausages.
The fish fingers don't cook at all well and fall apart but taste ok.
The crisps are greasy and taste "not fresh"
However the tinned tomatoes and tins of kidney beans are fine (try the polish section as my local ASDA do 4 cans of beans < Chillie, kidney, bollotti etc) for £1
I use their smart price butter for making pastry.
Peas and sweetcorn are fine
One thing I did find the other day was their cook from frozen lamb cubes are terrible.There is a race of men that don't fit in; A race that can't stand still;
So they break the hearts of kith and kin, and roam the world at will.

Smart Price cola is quite drinkable, but avoid any Smart Price alcohol.
The cat litter is pretty bad too.We have removed your signature - please contact the forum team if you are not sure why - Forum Team0 -
