Just noticed there is a calculator which gives a rough estimate of what you will pay based on your capital value.

Hi,
Most people should have received their letter about the re-evaluation by now. We live in a terrace and our rates are set to go up by more than £200 - ouch!
However, we are going to appeal this as both our back entry and the entry our house looks out on are 'unadopted' and so are more jungle-like than anything else - unsightly, bringing down house value never mind the weekly struggle to get the bins out.
Also, there is a delapidated house on our street which is devaluing all the houses on our street.
Just thought i would point this out - if there is anything that might devalue your house and so merit a lower bill it's always worth a try.
