Very minor, but still, where's Bertie Bassett gone?

Just done it PinkLipgloss, thanks for the link. I mentioned no Bertie nor blue bobbly ones. I'll post if I get a reply.0 -
I had a big box at Christmas so a while back and I was a bit miffed that there was no Bertie in them then so it is perhaps not a new loss. At the time I put it down to bad luck not having one but it would appear it is quite common or even the done thing now.0

they should sell bag with just one type in, since they are failing to sell "allsorts" might as well put out 10 lines with each type of allsort.0

Well, I e-mailed on 23rd, told them Bertie and blue bobbly ones were missing from my bag and asked if Berties were now only in boxes not bags. Today the postman brought me a very nice letter from Cadburys apologising for my disappointment and inconvenience and they enclosed a voucher for £2.50 so that I could "enjoy further supplies of Cadburys confectionery."
Wow, what customer service. Well done Cadburys.0 -
A bunch of jelly babies ate him up... so I've been told. There's a storm coming, Mr Johnson. You and your friends better batten down the hatches, because when it hits, you're all gonna wonder how you ever thought you could live so large and leave so little for the rest of us.0

Didn't he get asked to leave for impersonating a Golliwog!0

Did they answer the question though - are Bertie and blue bobbly ones meant to be in the boxes not bags?0 -
Bertie has been withdrawn since it is considered to be politically incorrect to include a coloured person shaped sweet. Had he been white, there would have been no problem of course.0

Had he been white, he would have tasted of grape, which would have been ludicrous in the context of liquorice.0 -

Didn't answer it specifically but their reply led me to believe that Berties are meant to be in bags as well as boxes:
"The machinery used in the production of our products is very sophisticated and is usually extremely accurate and reliable.
Although rare, a poor mix can result when a supply of one or more of the selection runs out and is not immediately replaced by the operator."
So, as the machine can't refill itself then the Bertie watcher person was either taking a nap, not concentrating on his/her job or having a natter to the blue bobbly watcher :rotfl: .
I did, in fact, buy a bag of Allsorts from a different shop this weekend and, joy of joys, there was one Bertie and three blue bobblies :T .0
