Ji everyone, just catching up with the threads, just to let you know how I'm getting on.

Huge headaches all hte time - keep on taking the tablets but they dont work. Also the pain I feel when I dont drink is awful = i seem to be able to feel everything every old injury etc. Pain keeps me awake at night. As does all the worry etc. I used to drink to kill off all these mental and physical pains - but now I have to face them - its scarry.

I havent drank for a month now - over really - since the 30th of December and I do feel better in some ways. Its things like when theres an emergency I can still drive to hospital etc which eases my mind. I have a horrendous memory though. I thought it was with drinking but maybe I have just killed off too many brain cells!!!! I hope that improves.

I still absolutely could kill for a drink, but even though I have wine in the house ( for cooking!!) I havent touched it at all. I have asked my OH to taste it to check it hasnt gone off becasue I darent have even a sip as I know from past expereicne that that will be it and 3 bottles 'll be gone before I realise I've drank them.

Thanks for you support. I'm trying to give up substitueing with sugar - trying to get into fruit instead lol.

take care everyone and stay strong.

sometimes I do thank with my other identity so if you see other names thanking I think some of us do forget!!!! btw I'm not rikki though.
