I'm on Lofepramine at the moment - an antidepressant. Also got some diazepam if I really need it.
What else can I do but wait for it to go? I'm just trying to distact myself at the moment.

I have a self help CD, teaching myself to cope, not panic attacks as such, agoraphobic mildly. It is helping, but as normal I don't listen as often as I should :(
  • I hate those panic attacks. I can feel my heart pounding. I want to run and i dont know where to or what from. I feel like the walls are closing in on me, and for a second its like everything is in slow motion. I cant sleep and i dont eat. I shudder just remembering them. I just cant focus on anything. I only get them after a stressful situation has occurred and then i get really drunk, and then the panic attacks, then i need a drink coz they scare me so much. Its a vicious circle.

Talking about agoraphobia, why is it that I'm fine 90% of the time if I'm with someone? Its just going out alone that scares me so bad.

Any chance of a copy, tape would do?

I was walking down a corridor yesterday, feeling a little exposed. I suddenly realised if I thought that I didn't care what people thought of me, it went.
So instead I was then talking to myself, I don't give a sh*t if you think what I look like is wrong, I've got my shirt open, hard cheese mate etc etc etc

I think people did look at me, but that was probably the muttering.....

Nothing unusual with that, your unsure of yourself, your ability to deal with things on your own, probably other joys locked away in there as well.
Very common, once you realise what is is that is causing it, you can start to work on sorting it out.

Music is about the only thing that helps when i'm panicking - got to the point a while ago where I had to have my ipod on constantly - thing most I had it on for was 4 days - luckily I could charge it while I slept, but still with the music playing lol.

I know what is the cause of everything, I can't change that - and I don't know how to change the feelings its left me with.

I've got it on an MP3 player, so could email the tracks if you wanted.

    What's a tape:rotfl: We have a cassette player, in the wife's car;)

It's supposed to be about phobias, which the second half might go into a bit more, but so far it has been about teaching yourself to relax:o Rather than panic:eek:
