I started off by reading the leaflets and booklets of Al-Anon cos that's all I could cope with - I don't think I could have read more than 2 sentences at a time, my head was in such confusion. I'm sure AA have similar stuff. Could you get hold of any of it?
I was also overwhelmed by the thought of the Steps but came to realise that I only needed to look at Step One to start with. This took the pressure off me.
There is a really good book called 'Freedom From the Bottle' - has anyone else read it?
feelinggood, I saw you were interested in Taoism.; have you read 'The Tao of Pooh' by Benjamin Huff?

I'm bored, been up for ages, been for a walk and brought half a tree home for the fire, this is one of the only times in my life when I really fancy having a beer and a fag in the morning, odd.
Good job the oh is here otherwise I would do it, maybe.“Pleasure of love lasts but a moment, pain of love lasts a lifetime.”0 -
I have read the Tao of Pooh, methinks I need to read it again - I tend to forget all this stuff lol. Ain't read the Tao Te Ching for a while either. I've got so much reading to do, will get round to it one day.
