Morning, I had people here last night so thats why my short post.

Now, I know this isn't right for most people, but as folks who have been here for a long time know about me, I shall say what I did last night. I had a glass of wine with dinner and then a cup of tea, then later another small glass of wine, lasted the rest of the night and I had no need for another, indeed hardly finished the one I had, so a good night for me.
Someone that was here did have more than me, so I wasn't just keeping track with everyone else.

To anyone that doesn't know, wine and spirits don't seem to affect me, just beer and cider. Well I don't drink cider anymore, so its only beer I have to worry about now.

for the record, i think all of us are odd:D

and as far as blaming yourself goes, thats something i suffer with too. sometimes i think the only thing i got right in my life was my son, so none of you are on your own there, drink or no drink.

You don't have to worry about showing yourself up here, for me no matter how many times you fail, if you want to keep trying to stop, then stay on the thread.

AA don't turn people away who go to the meetings but relapse do they?

By the act of doing something, anything, being here, going to AA, seeing your doctor, they are all things that mean you are trying to do something, not just carrying on. That surely must be the most important thing. Each of us is different and each of us does it a different way.

Hi i feel better today thanks guys. Bleus i am struggling at the moment so i just keep plugging away. I just have to say tho i was drinking nearly every nite, i have only drunk v heavily this Sunday, I know it dosent sound a lot but for me its a big achievement. I have now set myself a date and i will not drink until then and then i will decide when my mind is clearer. At the moment i need to do that i know it will work. I have decided to tell my sister i have drunk twice since i resolved to give up. She is doing much better than me. Miserable as sin tho:) Even with her spiritual higher being:) Only kidding aa guys.:) hee hee,

Al i think you are doing really well just hope mrs mac can trust you again, i am sure she will. Bleus i am the only person who can help me i can get support and care here but i need to decide, same as everyone:) Jeez which i could remember all these wise words when i need a drink, would help a lot:)

Well b*gger me...didn't I give in.......in a sense.......wasn't angry/stressed/deflated etc......felt like one and set one out for myself:o as you will know...I bought a drink on Friday with every intention of having it.......then didn't want it..

Admittedly, I didn't get !!!!ed..i.e. the norm..........didn't get REALLY loud and chatty.....although I did speak to both bro and sis on phone...(but sis rang me....so that doesn't count:D )....or ....pass out at some point whilst remembering to turn everything off properly and make sure everything is locked up..........there is something to be said for OCD tendancies..if they still work when I am gone:D
