Alcohol self help thread II

i think the strangest thing for me at the moment, (keep saying that coz i dont know what will happen) is to go into my local sommerfield and not feel ashamed at the amount of alcohol i have in my basket, compared to everyone else!!! I went in one day and the cashier who i know, said thats a lot of wine and cider, i could of dropped through the floor:). Or going into asda drunk at 11pm buying more drink. Trying to look and act sober and probably failing miserably. I would love to see the cctv footage of me then:)0

Done that jayne, the local shop used to know me and I actively used to buy drink at different shops, so no one would know, which of course they did.
It does feel nice not to worry about that now.
I think you are doing great Al, I want to be like you soon. I tend to not count the days anyway now, not like I used to, but I do have some idea.“Pleasure of love lasts but a moment, pain of love lasts a lifetime.”0 -

A couple of the shop assistants in my shop used to reach towards the voddie when I got to the till:o I used to use different shops, stop in laybys to put the bottles in different bins:o Sad really, not a great advert for the human race:rotfl:0

If you've posted before, post again, we don't care what you have done, we want to hear where you or your partner is today.
We try not to judge, but, most of us on here will tell you the real deal, no fancy words.
Hiya :hello:
Yes some will know me from the past. I've continued reading the thread, but kept quiet. So nice to see you out and about again though Beer. Recent events prevent me from posting further though. Soo glad you continue to do well Al, I really am, you absolutely have no idea. Hope AC continues to do well also.
Bye for now Westy xNow thanks to Tommix & Queen Bear, now Lady Westy of Woodpecker0 -
The buying of booze from different shops seems to be very common amongst problem drinkiers. I knew all the offies in Kingston, and one in Surbiton which would serve me at 6am. When I finally stopped, all the owners said that they were glad for me - except one who said that I should just have one can a day. If I could only have one, then I wouldn`t have needed to quit.
Keep up the good work everyone.0 -
Morning
Suffolk don't you ever sleep?Surbiton, thats where Margo in the good life lived, isn't it. Is it still the leafy surburb from TGL?
Hi Westy, don't know whats stopping you posting, but I will find out
Something to think about. In bed this morning, DD comes in with us. After half an hour in the dark of constant talking, I say "I don't think someones going to go to sleep again"........... ......... "I'm not either" pipes up DD.
She has a small sore spot on her face, usually she's the big girl, who doesn't want looking after at all, she does the looking after her dollys. But this morning in bed she must have been feeling a bit funny, because she asked for some cream for her face, then leant against me and said "Daddy you will look after me won't you"
Sorry to bring my personal stuff into the thread, but its important to me to remember why I'm struggling.“Pleasure of love lasts but a moment, pain of love lasts a lifetime.”0
