  • guys i was thinking about what we were talking about last nite i woke early thinking :( hate that. Beer watch out for the wine coz i started drinking spirits coz they didnt have a hold on me . Brought a bottle of gin a few sundays ago, went to bed not drunk but fuddled. Got up and o/h and me had drunk nearly a whole bottle of gin in one nite there was about an inch left. I realised then i couldnt drink any alcohol safely if it was in the house. Al that guy who said you wernt an alcoholic, regardless of names, he made me cross. Coz although you had a choice whether to drink or not in some respects you didnt. You realised you would lose everyone you loved and that leaves little choice. My sister said at aa she sees people who have lost everything. When they sober up the realisation of everything they have lost is devastating to watch. Sorry but i was so mad with that guy you have done so well and to knock that makes me .... not a happy bunny:(

Remember Jayne, you don't know what your sleep patterns should be ;) Until your body returns to its normal rythm, it wont always be nice :(

I do think some people stereotype what an alcoholic is. Scruffy bloke in a gutter drinking whatever they are supposed to drink.

My parents think that you have to have a drink when you go out. My dad's idea of not drinking, was just to have the two pints, when he goes out for a pub lunch. A bottle of wine when opened has to be drunk. Things like that.

I do think me parents generation have been stuffed by having more cash than their parents. Then the newer generation have more cash and have been led astray by their own parents.

Anyway I'm off, I'm not concentrating on anything I'm supposed to be doing, new PC being set up:j

    Morning guys.
Hope you can find something to do to avoid smoking Beer - maybe having some nibbles to hand might help?
I'm on 2nd day, and feeling so much better. I'm coming out the other end now I think.
Hope you are all okay x

Nibbles at home help, I'd have to eat a lorryload of crisps on Monday to not smoke while driving. I suppose its something I'll have to get used to, but this is my worst time to be stopping.

I doubt you're coming out the other side yet feelie, its only the 2nd day. Stick with it.
I think you've done well so far, ODAAT :D

I meant the depression - got a long way to go with the smoking and the drink, but the depression is easing - I cooked last night :)
Didn't have as full a breakdown as last time, so hopefully this is the end of it. Wait and see eh. Just nice to feel alright for a chance, and not like life isn't worth living.
Good job you drive a van if you need that many crisps! I don't really have an coping stratagies, the patches certainly help tho. Are you using any nrt? You could always get some gum or an inhalor if you think you are likely to smoke - would be better to use something like that than to smoke.
