I think I can understand that.
My problem is trust - I can't trust anyone enough to 'depend' on them.
Stepchat
That link if for some AA chat rooms - they have meetings and just an open chat room - when I'm low there is always somone there to talk to - if you don't want to go to a real meeting, you could try them?Stay-at-home, attached Mummy to a 23lb 10oz, 11 month old baby boy.0 -

I have now gone after tonite:) 7 days without alcohol fg:) That is the first time in 4 yrs actually i think it might possibly be even 5 since my op. Thanks al for the posting i know it has to get easier just the craving started this morning as soon as i awoke, which is very unusual, i normally just want a cup of tea.:) Anyhoo have purchased huge bar of milk and nut chocolate bar and chocolate with crunchie in it:) i am now offically addicted to chocolate

I do hope you are going for dark cholcolate...apparently that is better? it must be...I prefer milk to dark...and usually anything I prefer is bad for you...so ...ergo....healthy stuff;) and dark cholcolate are good for you:D In fact if you do the opposite of anything I do...you should live a long and happy life:D0 -
omg o/h just said to me he has a problem with alcohol!!!! I asked him why he wasnt drinking and he said to support me. I told him to go and get a drink and he said no. I said you havent a problem like me i dont know when to stop. He said i do have a problem at the moment though i need a drink and feel miserable without one. I answered quite smugly:) welcome to my world!! 7 days of hell. You had a drink Friday m8.... Anyway i said you know i have a problem with drink dont you, a real problem in that i cant stop once i start. I am not just a heavy drinker. He said i know you have a problem. I said i cant go on like this you do know that, to which he replied yes. I quoted him and said everyone is where they want to be and he said yes, I need to do this for me. He said work was so stressful and i said tell me about it. I told him his friend xx who is an alcoholic who he works with is gonna die soon and he said i know. There was lot of sighing going on........:)0

If you've given in for life, then I would guess it wouldn't be good having anyone around like that. But if you've given in for the night............... well lots of us do that, just pick yourself up tomorrow and start again.Chrismojam wrote:the spirit of this post....
Some of you are further along the path to not drinking that I am...I hope I've not upset anyone by saying I've given in?
And Hi
evening everyone else as well, I'm a bit busy, being Santa and cooking dinner all at the same time, so I won't be on till later really, glad you all seem so well tonight. Chocolate might be a bit bad for you, but the alternative is alot worse

Do you know how difficult it is to find a recipe for braised venison sausages without wine being in it? Grrrr Its bl**dy impossible!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I had to make my own up in the end.
jayne I will be careful of wine, don't worry, I don't think I would trust any alcohol again. Its good news about your OH I think, should make it easier for you now and his health should get better as well, which for a OH is always desirable
Right, still no ciggies for me, a few anger moments during the day, when it all got a bit too much at moments, but they are getting much less. Bit of a stressful day too
Chocolate for me tonight as well I think.“Pleasure of love lasts but a moment, pain of love lasts a lifetime.”0 -
My o/h not had fags now for 3 yrs but said it was so hard to give up, you are trying to give two things up even harder:( Yeh i am pleased about o/h he just suprised me so much as he is not ever dramatic like that. I just feel pleased that he dosent think i am exagerating or making anything up. His opinion means everything to me so i feel something worthwhile has been achieved today.... still have the craving though:) You drive a van beer what do you do for a living? or can you not answer that, dosent matter if you cant:) Hows the juggling i bet little one is better than you:)0

I work for myself, can't say what. I have customers.
Your OH sounds really great, its wonderful to have someone here who really can rely on their OH so much. You are so lucky.
I have the craving as well
Juggling has been a bit off today, if I do it for a few minutes its ok, if I try to practice for ages it goes all wrong.
