I joined AA on Oct 2 1964 when I was 23 years of age. I haven't had a drink since and I am sure I could not have done it but for the support of the people and programme of AA. I am perfectly happy for anyone to stop drinking in anyway that they find comfortable but, for me, AA was and is neccessary.
