    Incorrect. Sale of Goods Act applies.

    Warranty minimum 12 months in UK and 'reasonable time' under UK law thereafter.

    Also the warranty is tied to the service tag on the PC so if you were thinking of selling the PC to offset the cost of the monitor you have no warranty at all
    So what happens when you buy the monitors on their own? They have no service tag but they come with a 3 year warranty, which I assume you will be able to prove from the serial number?

    So how is it beneficial to Dell to offer these 90 day CAR warranties?

    Because they'll still fix it for you but after the 90 day period you pay the shipping fees.

    Beware if you do this over the phone- they immediately go into a script to add axtras. this model doesn't come with a network port (it's fitted to the motherboard but there is no external port - £29 to have it activated), no modem, no cables at all, and no inks for the printer.
    Regards

    It clearly states on the front page,

    Network Card - Integrated 10/100 NIC

    It sounds like they could be trying it on, beware of Dell sales tactics from the indian call centres, they are known for lying. They told me there was no way my laptop would surf the net because it's only got 256mB!

    They tried that too, "it'll run slow with only 256mb", I then mentioned that I built computers and would drop extra memory in, I was told that that would invalidate the warranty.

    You can find it, at least I think it's the same machine from following the link from dell.co.uk/offer - I get the D04116, but it's £350 inc p&p now.
    ::Quidco.com - £1100 in 11 months. Kerr-ching! ::

    and no inks for the printer.
    Is that true, or does it just come with a couple of low volume cartridges to get you started? Reason I ask is because the ones for sale on Ebay claim to come with ink.
