Yes I had to look twice, they've deliberately hidden the different options, whereas previously they were openly displayed you now have to click on a dropdown menu...Thanks so much but I can't find the 90 day warranty - I guess I'm blind this morning......Thanks to all who post constructively.

sometimes they do that and sometimes not, but it is still in the same place, you just have to click it to show the other options0

www.howtogetbroadband.co.uk provides a good and simple step by step guide to getting broadband and what kit you need in order to get one or multiple computers connected to broadband.
It also has links to some FREE software that is generally recognised as being amongst the best at protecting you from viruses, spyware/adaware and hackers i.e. if you are connecting to broadband and you are not running a Firewall, Anti Vurus software and Spyware/Adaware scanning tools - then you need your head looked at...0 -
Thanks for the replies. I've just printed off the order confirmation and realised that the £299.05 price does not include a modem. As we're going to connect to the one broadband service will this matter or should I contact Dell and get the order revised?0

that is a good deal, if you dont mind getting ex-demo models then https://www.autdirect.co.uk is a good site, i got mine from there, the first one was faulty but they sent out a replacement screen the next day and its been fine since (touch wood)0

The type of modem they would include is only suitable for 56k dial-up services, not for broadbandI've just printed off the order confirmation and realised that the £299.05 price does not include a modem. Can someone please explain the benefit of getting this 299.00 deal as opposed to the 239.00 model here http://www1.euro.dell.com/content/products/features.aspx/dimen_1100?c=uk&cs=ukdhs1&l=en&s=dhs
The only difference I see is a 48x DVD/CDRW instead of a 16x DVD-ROM which is available as an option at £17.64.0 -

amancalledchip wrote:even better if you want a 24" screen.
to buy the screen alone is £751
to upgrade this package with a 24" is £686
Cheers MikeT for showing me that one
You should be aware that dell monitors come with a 3 year warranty, when you buy a PC package and reduce the warranty to 1 year the warranty on the monitor reduces as well.
Also the warranty is tied to the service tag on the PC so if you were thinking of selling the PC to offset the cost of the monitor you have no warranty at all
