fluoride in water

I've never personally understood the argument for fluoridation in it's entirety just from a logic perspective. My understanding is the topical application of 1.5ppm of Fluoride has no real positive effect once teeth are formed.
Not true. Fluoride can have both a system and topical effect. While the systemic effects are beneficial for tooth development, the topical effect provided by fluoridated water aids in not only minimising the effectiveness of bacteria in causing dental decay, but the fluoride incorporates itself into the enamel structure of the tooth to make it more resistant to acid and, and thus decay.
For example, having a sugary snack/bottle of coke makes your teeth 'soften' through the acidic environment... Fluoridated water helps to remineralise the the softened tooth, and make it stronger.Try to imagine nothing ever existed...0 -
I am not going to get into the Fluoride side of the argument but you (op ) say you don't pay the water bill as you don't drink the water. So I am guessing you don't wash, wash up, shower or wash your clothes.
Would it not be more honest to have your supply disconnected and that way you can worry about something else and no run the risk of going to court and getting a CCJ for non payment of the service.
If however you are using the supply for all the other things (other then drinking ) then your argument seems to me nothing more then an excuse for not paying your bill.
My thinking is> If I was THAT worried about something I would not do it or use it , period.There is a race of men that don't fit in; A race that can't stand still;
So they break the hearts of kith and kin, and roam the world at will.
