Very unlikely unless you have a reverse osmosis system or distillation plant in your back garden!

Standard filters won't filter out fluoride; in the UK they're probably best for those who get their water from a well or those who don't like the taste of tap water.

I could give you lots about toxic waste sodium fluoride information and its start in life when it was such a toxic waste product they were killing ocean life dumping at sea (they still do )so they started giving it to USA humans NOW US, BANNED IN EUROPEAN UNION IOM Scotland , it belonged to john Kerry's wife the Hinze hairess from the aluminimum industry (just do your own search and find your truth not what some government doctor scientist tells you trust me I am a dotor no longer fits their make up),a doctor who is told something in training and his view does not change unless science knows different and tells him so but even the government have not heard there own scientists ,which/who have been egnored ,just like the globle warming con ,its planetary change but they, the ethicle scientists are never heard or are threatend by, if you do not keep your mouth shut you will not keep your job or get your funding ,they now know mercury imalgam filling in teeth is/are killing people, government scientists have said so ,this is also creating illness said by the governments own chief scientists who do not want it to get out because of all the compensation claims .I say no one has the right to give anyone anything they do not want, more so, some private water company, through none elected officials, the area health authority and who would trust New labour anyway .Not ME .With food I can put it back on the shelf .I have to drink water ,we all do ,so its in everything that as a water content ,even your beer .If you or children wish to take it go ahead OK , not me ,not ever and why would I pay someone to mass medicate me anyway ,so I will fight this to the death becasue this is what it will do eventualy , brush your teeth take responsibility for you and your children.But fluoride and we should all have choise to drink without fear of pollutants in anything we consume ,think about this ,other peoples medication PEE disinfectants pesticide herbicides mashed up toilet paper bleeches cannot be cleaned out so we drink used water that as been inside at least 200 people before it reaches our lips .Comment to our dental friend, a monk joined the abbey ,monk said what Sorry gpb but you're really not making much sense. I think you've been reading too many of those crazy 'conspiracy theory' websites. That isn't 'research', it's reading cherry-picked, skewed, extremist and alarmist information which while containing some truths, when taken out of context bears little resemblance to how the situation actually is.

To put it into perspective: If you live in the UK today, your health, life-expectancy, wealth, safety and overall security is at a higher level than EVER before. The dangers we face now are far less than we did 100 years ago and far less than the people who live in developing countries face every, single day.

If living in the UK makes you mad, you could try living somewhere like Somalia that hasn't got a government telling you what to do.

Yes I think it's a good idea to floss, brush, mouthwash (I sometimes use soft brushes because a dental nurse told me once that harder brushes are known to recede the gums). In addition, I gently go over my gums; okay, that's a little OTT. :rolleyes:
Seriously, I respect dentists and take more advice than I would from doctors. If a dentist told me to mouthwash with household bleach I probably would. Yeah it's off topic but it's kind of related to flouride - somewhat. This has got me thinking about my teeth and they're sensitive now :rotfl:.

In terms of water filtation then fluoride can be removed with reverse omsosis, however, activated alumina cartridges used in a small propotion of cartridge based filters will yield a significant reduction.

In terms of the debate it's a bit of a difficult one. Clearly dentistry is pro-fluoridation and certain aspects of fluoridation seem to be very quickly skimmed over (specifically the way fluoride is sourced - which I don't believe from what I understand to be the same as that sourced for toothpastes and mouthwashes).

I think usually the argument often provided is fluoride occurs naturally (it is actually the 13th most abundant mineral in the earths crust), so adding fluoride to some areas isn't going to make the situation any worse - People that talk to us (we are a water filtation company, who do a tiny tiny proportion of business in fluoridation to be honest) come to us because of their concerns, which you have to accept regardless of which side of the fence you sit on.

I've never personally understood the argument for fluoridation in it's entirety just from a logic perspective. My understanding is the topical application of 1.5ppm of Fluoride has no real positive effect once teeth are formed. I would guess that to be true since toothpastes actually have something like 1000 times the amount of fluoride in. Therefore if such a practice is of 'optimum' benefit during say tooth development which is a relatively narrow period of ones life, then pushing that solution to everyone seems overkill.

I do believe better dental health is necessary, but increasing the numbers of dentists, increasing the number of NHS dental centres including those where you can drop in without being on the books, and who knows, maybe even introducing toothbrushes and toothpastes to children via schools and nursery schools almost like 'automatic prescriptions', ensuring all kids have good brushes and suitable toothpaste, might be a start, and might actually not really be that much more expensive.

However, there are two approaches you can take to this subject. We very much take the view that we offer a product that can do a job and it's down to the individual to identify the need.

That's true, though people will have to ensure they specifically have an activated alumina cartridge; most use activated carbon and ion exchange (such as Brita) filters that won't work on fluoride.

I can see you are not alarmist, but you are far too laid back about this. Fist of all, although you say there are 3 places on the planet where they do not pay income tax. But you fail to state that everywhere outside the planet does not pay income tax, so it is probably reasonable to assume that the places on the planet which do not pay income tax are actually outposts of our extra terrestrial masters. It would certainly explain 120,000 UK and 4,000,000 US children going missing if you think that they are being taken by beings from outerspace who do not pay income tax.
