What's with the agression? I was merely pointing out the new ebay policy.Bankrupt 28/07/08!0

As a buyer you either choose to accept the sellers t&c's then or you dont.
There are two transaction with any ebay item. The first where ebay sells the "seller" the right to list, (so they are a buyer), and the second, where I buy from the listing.
If you take the stance that you should choose to accept seller t&c's, ebay sells you the space on their website, you want to use it, accept their t&c's on listings, and list with free postage, that's what you pay for as a "seller" on ebay.
If you don't accept your sellers t&c's, don't complain if I don't accept sellers t&c's either. Just don't try to pick and choose depending on which side of the fence you're on at the time. I have never said the buyer has to accept the sellers terms, but you can't complain either if the seller doesn't accept the buyers terms, be it not ship with postage added after, or if the listing gets pulled depending on which ebay transaction you mean.0 -
I don't have any real issue with the free PP,
as always purchased / bid on an total price basis- but does make it easier to see.
As a seller I often gave free P+P or just a fair price.
One point is - its a shame they introduced / kept the no listing fee at max 99p... would be nicer if it was increased a little to account given the new PP rulesAny posts on here are for information and discussion purposes only and shouldn't be seen as (financial) advice.0 -

I used to buy a fair amount off ebay. I don't now as I find it's dearer than local shops, so I imagine ebay have seen a drop in revenue, and are trying to got the volume of transactions back up, on the pile it high and sell it cheap principle.0 -
As a buyer, I know ebays terms and conditions, and am very unlikely to familiarise myself with every 99p sellers indivdual quirks, just purely because it would take too long. If ebay let sellers dictate what they wanted then I would probably stop using them to buy, because it would be too much hassle. I report listing that breach the p+p guidelines because it is a pain- I want to see the price before I click through not after wading through reams of meaningless ts and cs.This is my opinion. There are many others like it but this is mine:kisses2: Fiancee of the "lovely" DaveAshton :kisses2:I am a professional ebay seller. I work hard at my job, I love my job, if you think it's silly that's your problem not mine.0

I thought I'd got a googlewhack with your "quote", but I had to use quotation marks, so it doesn't count.0

Ha, ha i just threw that in there because i knew people would be like, huh?
i couldn't be bothered to explain where certain people are blurring the lines between the contract between buyer and seller and the contract between merchant (seller) and ebay. I think that quote sums up my feelings on the futility of trying to explain these things to certain people though.
Did you get a hit on the quote then? Did you work out who it was?0 -
Well i got the following reply back from Ebay:
hello Tajna,
Thank you for your email.
I understand that you want to bid on the item number 320399217965. If
the seller has listed the item with zero postage, they cannot charge
you any extra on that.
If you win this item you need not give £3.00 extra for postage.
I hope I have clarified the matter to you in this regard.
Kind regards,
Nicolas Samson
There's 2 bids so far on the item.0 -

Example, item # 230358466599, appears to be Free P&P but in the listing it states "£1.25 POSTAL UK". I reported this on Sunday but it is still there. The seller has a few like this/QUOTE]
TAJNA's eBay reply is interesting on view of the fact that item item #230358466599 was reported over 4 days ago but is still allowed to run. Clearly eBay really do not give a darn about what people do regarding FREE P&P FOR COLLECTION ONLY items in the free P&P categories....I am a cow so cannot speak Bullshine but I do recognise its smell when I come upon it.0
