Problem with Dell inspiron mouse

    strider.....i have thought that dand here is an exaple lol what a mess and that was me typing gentlywhilst i was typing that the vibration is conecting with the touch pad thats what i felt was happening

    how can i fix this its driving me ma

    If you look in the the bottom right of the screen you should see an icon for your touchpad (or go to Control Panel > Mouse).
    Right click and select Properties.
    You should then have various options such as adjusting the sensitivity of the Touchpad, hiding the pointer when typing and disabling the touchpad when a USB mouse is connected.

    its not in the system tray it did used to be there its in programs though and its dell touchpad alps electric
    if i choose it in programs though its only giving me a choice to uninstall ! where else can i find it plz

    Thanks in there now cannot see an option to ajust sensativity ?

    Then perhaps its some "intellegent" mouse thing? Some laptop's ive come across do this sort of moving the mouse to where they think you want it to be, or moving to an open diaglog box automatically.
    I can't really say, i've only come across it a few times :/

    Disable the touchpad and then retest. That shouldtell you if it's a touchpad software problem or something more sinister.
