Which model Inspiron?
First try plugging in a USB/PS2 mouse to see if the problem is with the trackpad. If the problem is still there then I would suspect you are infected.
What AV and anti-malware software are you running? No free lunch, and no free laptop0 -
Hiya macman
thanks....it is a inspiron 1545 & iam using AVG 8.5 anti virus along with the windows firewall apart from mouse problem is this enough to protect ? dont seem to have any infections
i will try another mouse later....thanksResolve not to be poor, Whatever you have , Spend less.0 -
How do you know you don't have any infections if your AV is missing them? AVG Free is a very poor AV nowadays and it doesn't offer much in the way of malware protection. Get rid of it and use Kaspersky (free with Barclays Online Banking) or Avira (free).
But test with a mouse first as this will determine where the problem is.No free lunch, and no free laptop0 -
i dont bank with barclays....and where can i get avira ? i have looked on file hippo but cannot see it

yes, red brolly. but you must fully remove AVG before you try to install it.No free lunch, and no free laptop0

Thankyou
uninstalled avg and downloading avira nowResolve not to be poor, Whatever you have , Spend less.0 -
I hope you have used the AVG removal tool, as using Add/Uninstal Programs will not get rid of all of it.

PS: better to download Avira and then uninstall AVG, otherwise you're running with no AV at all.No free lunch, and no free laptop0 -
This sounds more like a touchpad configuration problem rather than a virus! Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0
