NPM - you'd think the NHS would be more sympathetic of its own staff wouldn't you?

Sunnygirl - hope Buster comes back soon, that must be horrible for you.

MSD - Sorry there is no news about Tristan. Also, hope your Treacle cat is ok after her fit. Samantha had a fit about a month ago, was horrible to see.

Thanks for all the well wishes for Samantha. Just phoned the vets (couldn't wait any longer!). She has come through the surgery well, and is staying in the night on fluids. Am so pleased she is ok. :j
  • Glad to hear that the cat is on the mend Ladyshopper:T...the NHS dont care for anyone or anything these days..apart from money and budgets:rolleyes:

    Mrs moneypenny happy anniversary:T

Halight hope the doctors appointment goes ok for you....I really admire your positive outlook...these migraines have just about finished me off...lord knows how you cope with what you go through

Have you fed them ? I am feeding mine about once every two weeks, also top up the compost on them, and water well, and keep s*xing them up with the paint brush :D xxx

I've not been fiddling my toms with a paint brush - do I need to??!!!
Haven't been able to do that with my courgettes as my only male flower gave up and died.......is that something to do with the male species in general I wonder ;)

I can't believe how much its rained. My mum's just rung me to say she's sending my dad to B&Q for some wood and nails. They're going to make a boat :rotfl: as their back garden is flooded again. So much for the great british summer!

Diva - I really hope you have some news soon xx
The Moneypennies - happy silver anniversary! That card sounded lovely x
NPM - hope you get moved to another department soon. Sadly they sound pretty much like where I worked. Whilst off poorly with terrible cold and pregnant my boss got HR to ring me at home to find out when I was coming back in
    Thriftyscotslass - Welcome :D

Yes it certainly helps, get a paint brush and go from flower to flower brushing, you are just giving mother nature a helping hand, I do this often (my toms get more attention than my OH :D) and I have had a glut of tomatoes xx

All Aussies of my acquaintance insist that Marmite is nothing like Vegemite...and I have known Kiwis who say that Marmite this side of the world is nothing like as good as theirs.
    Marie

You are right Marie. The taste is very different. The secret to first time vegemite eaters :D is to use it sparingly. A little goes a long way. We had it slathered on crusts once we had teeth :D so most of our taste buds are destroyed. I actually buy Mighty Mite now which is the Australian equivilant. The yanks bought out Vegemite (close your eyes N9eav) :p and I refuse to buy it. :D

MrsMoneypenny Happy Anniversary. Probably celebrating as I type. ;)

Welcome to the new ones. Hope you get a good sleep. I had a rubbish one. :D Byeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia. ;)

So late it's hardly worth posting. :o

Thanks to everyone for the good wishes for DD's leg. She's recovering well and I'm just a nervous wreck that she will damage it when she's leaping about oblivious to any pain.

Hope you have good news of Tristan soon MSD. x

Had to go into the office today to catch up so OH stayed at home and he and the girls [STRIKE]wrecked the kitchen[/STRIKE] very kindly made me some cakes. Unfortunately they went all adventurous and Dtwin2 attempted raspberry eclair buns. It all went a bit Pete Tong and there was uproar when I asked if the undecorated buns were fish fingers. :o

Anyhoo.... usual chores are done but the dishes took ages tonight as I kept popping out to watch the hedgehog on the rampage in the veg patch. :D

Feeling paranoid as Dtwin1 announced tonight that she doesn't like big boobs so when she grows up she'd like really tiny ones like Mummy.:o:rotfl:

Had pork belly and sauteed spuds for tea and have just lifted some lamb out of the freezer to make kebabs tommorrow.

Aussie how is your pain in in the neck? And no I'm not talking about him. :D:p;)

    Sleep well everyone

    Haribo x

Edited to add.... catman-without-wings.... I hope you're ok. I know that this time of year is hard for you but I hope you and Mrs Cat are doing ok. xxxx
