This is my first post on here so hope you don't mind if I join in.
Rain here today - grey and depressing - booooo. Need a bit of get-up-and-go today, seem to be dragging myself around - must be the weather.
Well the beds are nade, quick tidy around, dishes done, washing out on airers and another load in. Dd on last few days at school, ds still in bed on his computer - teenagers .
Todays plans - to gloss the skirting boards in downstairs hallway and the right-hand side of the stairs (left-hand side and upstairs skirting was done yesterday :T). Also, dentist appointment after lunch. After that, the ironing will be calling.
Hope everyone has a good day. Take care all.
Welcome :hello:

Ok have hoovered through, tidied kitchen, made beds, and made two spinach and cream cheese lasagne's one for tomorrow, one for freezer.
Also got some cucumber pickels on the go.
There is a blackbird nesting in my grape vine, and i have been watching her feed her brood, their little mouths open when she arrives, and they tweet very loudly, I can sit in the conservatory and watch them, its very cute.
Ok better go and wash the bits up, and clean bathroom, also need to wash down the outside windows.
Have fun x0 -

Seems strange being home :rotfl:

H-J sorry to hear about DTwin1's leg, hope it is healing well and not leaving a scar.
C-M glad to read that DS is improving. Spoke to my DNephew last week who was not happy with his sister she has 3 children and on her own, she got a bad cold/throat and rang the Drs. the receptionist said, "Oh it sounds like Swine Flu", so she sent the children 2-9 to her mothers (who has them a lot of the time as she does not cope well) and had a week without the kids, when he saw his Mum (63) she looked terrible and he was not happy, how can a receptionist diagnose like that!!
NPM - Jayward would totally agree with you re the none caring attitude of the NHS!!
MSD - hope you hear some better news soon, good job he was on line to you at the time
Mr & Mrs MP- :bdaycake: Happy Anniverysary :bdaycake:
We had a lovely time in France and at Henley, the weather had been pretty good especially in France, and mainly rained at night. Had good company too which always helps, plus a little red wine. Had a couple of tops with red wine stains to prove it, but have managed to save them now, first time on for both. Food and eating out is expensive though, but we did treat ourselves a time or two.
It is one of DH's DGNephew's birthday today he is 3 so we will be going to see him soon, I rang the DNeice up who said Mum&Dad + Sister are coming this morning, and friends this afternoon, you can come when you like as you can cope with either, nice to know, probably make it the afternoon as a few kids running riot and wine flowing is probably more us.
We look like a Chinese Laundry as had a month's washing to catch up on, had done a couple of loads of undies on the sites but they were ready again. May treat myself to an early birthday present and talk to my old cleaner about some ironingI do hate it, and I am not that good at it either, so takes ages. Two loads of none ironers left now, and will leave them until tomorrow when the forecast is better, think I need an additional airer for the conservatory. DH has hoovered and dusted through, so we are tidyish. Banking done, and mail all checked and read. Will raid the freezer in a mo to find something for dinner, as desperately need to shop, may call when we go out.
Take care all :hello: newbies, everone else
:grouphug: to all who'd like to grab one
Apologies for anything missed.

Hi, today started with beautiful sunshine and is now raining. DS2 had nursery this morning for a change. It was his first time with a full session on his own since he had surgery:o. Friday we went to see the dr as he wasn't walking properly, I thought he'd give us exercises, instead he admitted us to hospital for x rays and tests:eek:. Fortunately they were all negative so we just have to wait and see what will happen. It did mean that we had been to the hospital 3 times last week with DS2.
Yesterday was chaos with trying to get lots of errands done. I treated myself to a new slow cooker, mine was 30+years old and had only one temperature. Argos have the Murphy Richards 3.5l one in the sale for £12.24.
So far today I've bought my neice a birthday present, picked up a list of kids sports activities for the sports centre and done a food shop. I've also put dinner on in the slow cooker. I'd like to get a book of slow cooker recipes, can anyone recommend one?
This afternoon is baking. Each of the teachers /TAs will get a box of homemade biscuits. DS2 has 5 teachers and DS1 has 2, which would make buying presents very expensive! I bought some plastic disposable boxes from the £1 shop and the boys will do a picture to go on top. I also need to go to the charity shop to drop some stuff off and I need to find DS1 some swimming trunks, I failed miserably at both this morning
Hugs to all that need them0 -
So washing done and in the drier, ironing done and put away. Washed down all door handles, banisters, radiators etc with anti-bug spray as per government suggestions to kill lurking virus bugs. It's a worry with a pregnant d-in-l and many visiting grandkidlets - Little Miss Busy coming this afternoon.:hello:0

Afternoon all.
Happy Anniversary Mr & Mrs Moneypenny.
Sending positive vibes for Ladyshopper's Samantha Cat and Sunnygirl's Buster Cat.
Taking it easy today, as we're going to the cinema tonight, it being Cheapie Tuesday as I call it. We also use my CEA card so Mr LW gets in free as my carer.;)
Looking at the weather (been tiddling down all morning) I'm so glad I got the washing caught up with yesterday. Although, that said, there'll probably be a load's worth in the wash bin once Mr LW takes his clothes off tonight. Why is it that he seems to create at least three times as much dirty washing as me?
I have a worn-out sheet sitting on the top of my sewing box, which I'm loathe to just put in the textile bank. Any ideas what I can do with the not-worn-out portions? It's the fitted variety, mid green, cotton. I wondered if there might be enough salvageable to make a pillowcase, but not sure how to begin.
Well, have a good day all; ((((HUGS)))) to all who want/need one today. If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
