Very unlikely you will be covered for points 1 & 3. But point 2 is covered on a lot of policies - you would have to check on the individual wording

Definitely not for 1 and 3 as these are more or less your own fault. Who would insure you for sleeping in??? Re 3, your employer would have to cover you for that.

Re 2, you would still have need to allow enough time to get there accounting for possible delays.

    Dear Leigh -Anne & luci

Thank you for your time answering my questions ?
I understand when we miss the flight such as 1 & 3, our payment will be going for good then ...

I know we could buy insurance to cover this when we book online, but I did not see the benefit in term of value for money.

Booking to Amsterdam from London on National Express do I get the added on insurance?
ooopss think posted it on the wrong place before?

    Hey all,

    Just picking your brains...

Just booking a National Express coach to Amsterdam from London Victora....so I get the travel insurance or is it no good?

I already have travel insurance with my bank account so as i'm covered with this shall I leave it or is it worth having this one just in case? It's only £4 I don't mind paying that to play it safe?

    What do you think??

Do not ever insure with SAGA TRAVEL insurance - they dont pay their claims. My wife was diagnosed with cancer after I had paid the deposit forcing me to cancel the holidays. SAGA TRAVEL INSURANCE are refusing to pay my claim.

Hi - I was wanting to book a break for my 13yr old son with PGL who deal in activity holidays. It a special offer of £219 a good saving from original price. After speaking to the woman on phone she said I need to pay £37 for the insurance...........but if the holiday was full price I dont pay for insurance. I told her I would organise insurance myself - as found some for £8.94 which covers him for these activities but she said NO we must book it with them - £37 is a huge amount I feel for a 13yr old who will be holidaying 45 mins from home!

I also didnt think travel companies were allowed to do this - making there own insurance compulsory via them!

They state they use the company Fogg Travel Insurance and it seems they have a master insurance policy that covers everyone that attends their camps.

This is from their their booking conditions

Special offers advertised on our website

Important note: It is a condition of special offers that we advertise online for our UK holidays that customers also purchase insurance from us at the time of booking. You will not be able to complete your booking online unless you have included insurance in your basket at the time you complete the checkout procedure.

My question is - are they allowed to do this i.e make you buy insurance from them and at such an inflated price..........
