  • Hi Cadbol,

As Saltydognl says if you are going for less than 30 days, then a Worldwide including USA cover should be less than £50 per person or you may want to consider an annual (if you have any other trips planned)

One important thing to clarify - are you getting married in the Caribbean or is it just a Honeymoon, as if getting married do you need to consider any valuable presents you may be given by guests?

    Hi!

Thank you all for your advice. Yes, the honeymoon is in the Caribbean - we are getting married back home! Will investigate all your suggestions! Thanks again.
  • Hi RobertinHerts,

Your right about the terrorist exclusions on travel cover.

I work in product development for travel insurer, Insurancebookers, and we are in the process of updating our wordings to introduce cover as consequence of terrorist actions under key sections (like medical) now.

I agree this is long overdue, but the good news is that it starting to appear and this can only be good news for consumers

Just payed £33.02 for europe platinum cover from Select (part of moneysupermarket), seems very reasonably and comprehensive, anyone else used them?

ps The insurance page lists Leading Edge at £35, this no longer seems to be the case, the lowest I can get out of their system is now £43

    Hi all,

We are planning a holiday in Southeast Asia covering Singapore, Malaysia and Philippines. Does anyone knows which companies might include covers that include due to acts of terrorism? We just want to know that it covers us in any unforseeable crisis "God forbids". Any replies greatly appreciated.

    cheers
  • Can anyone advise in insurance for a mediterranean cruise? My existing insurance with travelinsurance web is about to expire, but when I went onto confused to do a search for a good price, one of the assumed bits at the start was - this cover is not for a cruise.

Does this mean I need specialist insurance?

    Thanks

    Hi Pinkfluffybabe.

Not sure that you require "specialist" insurance for a cruise to be honest. Going on a carribean cruise on the 28th Feb and so am looking for insurance myself. Please someone correct me if i'm wrong!

Talking of Insurance - has anyone had dealings with the John Lewis\Waitrose insurance company called Green Bee? They are not the cheapest but their cover looks comprehensive and using the JL/Waitrose name must mean it is good?

Some companies are not sure if they should cover cruise customers and it is buried in the small print.
Best to email any company you are considering getting coiver through and asking them for clarification.
