Unfortunately with collections teams at banks and/or debt collection agencies, they are targetted for ££££ and not to really look at your circumstances. Some of those featured will probably lose their jobs even though they were probably previously held up as being model employees of the firm. Sad but true. Blame a renegade employee rather than the systems in place from above.

Lets just hope that programmes like this will empower people who would not have known before just what rights they have.

If you have the knowledge you can at least keep the wolves from the door a little.

Cartainly knowledge is power but i fear people with serious debt may shy away from this program as i know i would have before my BR.

As previously stated, they won't change. They'll come out with all sorts of stuff after the programme but carry on as usual.

Whilst i think some of the behaviour is harsh by these people, they only see things from their side - which is earning a living, it is the same with a debtor (they only see their side).

Unfortunately i believe any in house collection by any financial instituation are likely to be given the middle finger by a lot of people as a result of this program.

And their arrogant reply was that despite it being on camera, they hadn't breached any guidlines. Harrassing people at work!!

And the OFT are just a waste of time.
