Its absolutely pouring rain here this morning, weve had such a long dry spell so its badly needed, but still wish it was sunny.
Friends leave around lunchtime so will be nice to get things back to normal. All back at school tomorrow. Over the last week OH and friends have knocked the old porch down, so we have lots of work to do with new footpaths and rebuild a new porch (old one was very damp etc and built of mass concrete horrid).
Were almost ready for Ned just need to fence off paddock, we have all the posts and tape etc.
Moneywise still plodding but will have to pay out for concrete and blocks the next couple of weeks but will be so worth it. Hope its still sunny with everyone.

Sunny but quite cold here .... and I wish we had some rain! Mad, I know. Even so, everything is growing like crazy - after another cuppa coffee, I'm off into the garden. Mind you, the wind is whistling down the chimneys, it sounds awful, even tho its bright blue sky outside!

It does 'look' nice outside but it is blooming freezing here. Going to go and find something warmer to wear.

Right its been what I call a "back to normal day" friends gone and school for the kids. I even managed to blitz one boys bedrooms and change all the bedding so feeling pleased with myself. On the downside I have to take money out tomorrow to pay for all the concrete thats arriving Thursday, just when you think youre doing well. Still it will all be so worth it and OH and his mate have been busy all day preparing so come the weekend things should be looking better. Horrid weather again dry this morning but its like winter out there now.

Aha! Its just penetrated my skull about the porch and the paths and the concrete! Thats brilliant! It sounds vile, of course, but in reality it will probably make a huge improvement to your standard of living - hope it goes really well.

The concrete had to be cancelled yesterday as it just poured down all morning. Then when OH and mate decided to tackle another job the sun came out and well its so annoying. The concrete did come today and paths are all done and covered now in case rain comes back it is forecast for tonight so hopefully all will now be well.
KC youre right about the standard of living its been a nightmare with all the muck coming in and out of the house. The cat and dog think they are in a four star hotel at the mo as they have been re-homed in the conservatory (hope they dont get to comfy) if the weather was better they could be left outdoors, but they need to be kept away from the paths etc. Hope the weather is better with you all than it is here.

Well, its down now, anyway - awful at the time, but it *will* be great. We had a fair old bit of rain overnight, still raining when I got up, but I don't *think* it was anything terrible. Hope your weekend is nice :)
