Whilst I don't doubt those who have a Vax/Dyson/Henry, I have a furball whose hair sticks to the carpet. I have a Dyson which took my wife an hour to do the stairs.
We then bought a Miele - now it takes 10 minutes.
The fact is you might own a black and white telly, but you don't realise what you're missing until you get a colour one. Miele is hands down the best machine, though I believe Sebo is good too. Which mag rates it very highly, and that's good enough for me to have bought one. It's simply fantastic.0 -
I have 1 fluffy cat and 3 kids and i have the Henry eco model, its fantastic so far, i'm really pleased with it....0

A cheaper alternative although a little bit extra work is to buy a slicker brush, that picks up all the dog or cat hairs, then hoover with an hoover as normal. We have the cheapest hoover going and once we use the slicker wire brush on the floor, hoovering is a breeze as there are no hairs to pick up :j

I've just purchased one from eBay, a Buy it Now for £230 inc delivery, which is the cheapest I've been able to find it. :T
It's a lot to pay for a vaccum cleaner, but I've read nothing but excellent things about it, and they're meant to last for up to 20 years if looked after, so all in all I reckon it's worth it.
Looking forward to getting rid of our rubbish Hoover vac which is the most rubbish cleaner I've ever owned :mad:Metranil dreams of becoming a neon,You don't even take him seriously,How am I going to get to heaven?,When I'm just balanced so precariously..0 -

Just thought i'd post for anyone on a budget. Mum has a dyson and i'd love one but at the moment way out of my price range i have a vax second hand That copes very well with pet hairs. 2 Akitas that never seem to cast at the same time:mad:
FIL needed a new hoover but on a pension didn't have a lot of money so he got a pet one from Argos think it was about £60 it was a pet one he has no pets but suffers from asthma and couldn't stretch to the hepa ones designed for that.
We had to assemble it for him and well i just had to check it was working and hoovered the house top to bottom, i was very impressed with the hoover and the attachments with it. When my vax burns out i will be buying one may even buy it before the vax goes lol
Hope this helps someone.slowly going nuts at the world:T0 -
Vaccum cleaner update!! Got my Miele Cat and Dog today, my OH carried it home on the train from his work!! - he is such a trooper!!
I haven't had a chance to have a proper play with it yet, but had a little hoover with it and it seems awesome...much MUCH better than our rubbish Hoover (which is going on Ebay sharpish!!)
And I think £230 inc delivery was actually a goodish deal, so I'm a happy bunny!Metranil dreams of becoming a neon,You don't even take him seriously,How am I going to get to heaven?,When I'm just balanced so precariously..0 -

Probably worth rethinking the wording before listing on Ebay!:rotfl:0
