Unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot,
Nothing is going to get better. It's not.
  • What all do I need to take with me tomorrow ?
We are going on a teddy bears picnic river cruise with the kids for our wedding anniversary, then packing them off to my mums for the night and we are going out for our dinner :):)

Other than teddys :) I am not sure what else I will need !!

  • Not ungrateful at all, Hubby's work sent someone who didn't have children to spend his collection, half of it was stuff we wouldn't use like scratch mitts and baby hats... We're probably going to pass them on to one of hubby's relatives who're pregnant...

Bl00dy baby hats!!! Whoever uses them  I had half a dozen little outfits with hats plus someone bought me a pack of 4 hats and he wore one once :rotfl: in the hot, hot hospital on his first night! He did look cute though ;)

My work sensibly gave me money - before and after the baby was born :T

Glam - way back when I did a cracking hospital bag list for the pregnancy thread (combined everybodys suggestions)...I may still have a copy if you need it :D

redmel - I'm getting to the point of being able to let her sleep in there gradually ;) She's only 12 weeks though so I don't feel I'm mollycoddling her too much by having her in our room :) and to be honest... it's easier. Means when she wakes at 6 it's easy to just lift her into my bed with me and feed her lying down... :D Instead of having to get out of bed, trip over a cat in the hall way and swear loudly, pick up screaming child, try to get both child and moses basket back in our room, preferably without stepping on/tripping over/kicking the cat... then evicting said cat from under the bed, closing the bedroom door and FINALLY getting into bed with the baby to feed her :)

Hooded towels... I know I could use ours but ours are bath sheets mainly and just too big... Alexandras are hers and only hers :) And I like swaddling her in them after she's had a bath :) I also tend to leave on on the changing mat for her to lie on when she's getting changed... which invariably leads to a few needing to be in the wash at all times :)

ETA - Alex point blank refuses to wear hats of any sort... she will scream till she turns purple if you try and put one on her... thankgoodness it's not been too sunny a summer so far!

Ditto, cash and Boots and Mothercare vouchers :D

The hospital tell us off for not having a hat on Rhys whenever we go in but he screams blue murder if we try to put one on him - used to with the one he wore to hold the breathing tubes in place so probably reminds him of that :(
  • they supply a drink and a snack for the picnic part, but its before lunch, so we will have food afterwards. I am just thinking I have forgot something, but I am sure I havent. Need to pack an overnight bag for Dylan, including bottles, milk, sheets and blankets, moses basket, several changes of clothes etc..etc..
