I'm expressing (couldn't take it anymore!) and buying baby socks and metal wall art for the bathroom off eBay - how random!

I might! Has Mel been about? I could bring her too. (Even if we don't care about slings, we want to see others IRL!) :p

Haven't noticed Bruno for a few days? Was he going away again?

Glad your home Tia & Amber. Don't be overdoing it! Easy to say, not so easy to take notice of with other children!

Lovely hair MM. And gorgeous Dylan! His eyes look so huge and lovely! :D

Lovely new pic MFD. He's so handsome!

    I'm here:D

Not sure I can make it on Monday, dh has exam re-sits to revise for so I wouldn't be able to leave the older two with him:rolleyes:

Feel a bit more human today, Kai slept through till 4.50am before he started his whining every 10min stint. Thankfully I had dragged myself up to bed by 11pm so had a good run of unbroken sleep, I wish his teeth would hurry up:cool:

    Mel x

I think I'm going to send my Pump back, I've not expressed in about a fortnight. I've got about 50 full feeds in the fridge, and a couple of bags of icecubes for if I need to make any purees or anything. Seeing as he hasn't had a single bottle since he started breastfeeding, I think I'll not bother anymore. I need my freezer space for icecream now!

Cot was constructed yesterday, and put in place. Its a co-sleeping one, like his crib but bigger (huge thing wouldn't fit lengthwise!). He slept from getting into bed at about 10:30pm till 5am. Had a feed, then another sleep till 7:30am when he decided it was time to blow raspberries. Very successful - he has enough space for wiggliing (he needs to wiggle to get the farts out, even in his sleep), was easy enough to get him out for feeding, and OH is pleased to have a bit more bed.

He didn't feed that much yesterday, he went two hours between feeds at one point! I think the mega spurt might finally be over.

On another note, I am in the 7%!! 7% of babies are exclusively breastfed at 4 months, and Tobes is one of them. After all the problems at the start, I never thought we'd get it, but we did!! Other ladies with struggles - stick with it, and never lose the hope.
    Stay-at-home, attached Mummy to a 23lb 10oz, 11 month old baby boy.

Bruno thanked one of my posts earlier tonight.. Thought he might be catching up and posting afterwards but he didn't :(

D'oh; thanks for noticing, 3 and Elle! Hi all, not gone anywhere and I've been keeping up on this thread, but I've just been exhausted and feeling a bit run-down the last few days and not had much to say. No special reasons, Elijah has been taking his first few tentative steps this week, and has gone the whole night every night this week without needing BF (although he has woken up and needed comforting every night); work is being very stressful (but not long hours) and I haven't been sleeping well.

There were about 100 thousand posts I almost replied to in the last couple days so I won't try to work out what they are and do it now ;p

Middling busy weekend incoming - farmer's market this morning for some meat and veg and bits and pieces, then mall shopping with OH for supermarket bits and a 3-year old's birthday present, tonight my mum is babysitting so that we can have our second night out since Elijah was born , which apparently I must spend watching Harry Potter. Tomorrow we drive off into Sussex to visit friends for their little girl's 3rd birthday. Hopefully she has grown out of her fear of beards by now

Sorry to all whose interesting posts I could've replied to! :)

mfd --- butternut squash ... we call this pumpkin back home and usually have it baked (as it can go to mush if over boiled - although steamed is nice) with a roast. i agree though that it can be a pain in the backside to prepare.
    What do you call pumpkin?

Sometimes she's a bit overly helpful though, like helping to pull my knickers back up when I've been to the loo :o Or once she flushed it for me, but I hadn't finished and was still sitting on it :o
Alice does that kind of thing too (although she hasn't done the toilet flushing bit :rotfl:).
Charlotte sounds so funny Beccles, Keira likes helping do the dishes, so I let her wash her paint pots, she likes to stir things and throw the chopped veg in the pans etc, still won't eat it though.
Alice likes stirring but if you're not careful her "stirring" fires everything all over the kitchen.
Beccles - I do try and involve her in the preparing off food, she likes to lick the raw veg before it's cooked, oddly, but won't touch it when it's prepared! But she always asks to help. I'm hoping nursery will help break some of the fussyness, bit of peer pressure at snack time :D She does have character plates, dora, winnie and some bob the builder, but she isn't interested in that unfort!
Have you tried offering her raw veg?

We're off to check out a carboot sale today. It's advertised as being every week on the website but when we went last week it wasn't on because they had racing. Hopefully we can then sell all our junk on the bank holiday weekend.
