R.Mac - I can relate, though slightly different, we live in a skyscraper, and I went out with the bins (outside my front door, there is a cellar type thing that you can use to dry your clothes, but I can't because we have too much crap in there and next doors stuff spews all over onto my side too! Anyways the bin chute is in there so we don't have to go down to the bottom of the building, it's handy) Well I went out with the bins whilst she was sleeping (think she was about 6months) and we had different locks on the front door at the time, and the latch was on, and I only had the key for the cellar, and the door locked behind me.....I couldn't get in! I had cuts all up my forearms from trying to get my arm through the letterbox and to the side......Thankfully OH had finished work and got home about 25mins later but I heard her crying and I was practically pulling my hair out. Felt awful. No harm done though.....
We've had a nice few days here, Keira hasn't pooed in 3days again, holding it in.....I know she wants a poo because she keeps asking for her penguin nappys, she only asks for those if she wants the toilet, yet when I take her to the loo or ask her "NO WAY I DON'T NEED, LEAVE ME ALONE"
We switched our bedroom round a bit, and I have been using OH's flat as a pancake pillow unknowingly, and one side of my neck and shoulder is in agony, I must of slept funny on it, I've taken 6 ibuprofen's today and even bending down to feed the cats is sheer pain!
I just ordered the economy gastronomy book, for new recipe ideas, plus the things on the show so far look tasty! I reckon we spend WELL over £300 a month on shopping, though not all of that is food, sometimes we will go into morrisons and spend £50 and there is about 4 items of food in that, because we pick up washing baskets, new cutlery drawer things etc. Not sure if that should be included? Mind you when that is, it's probably nearer £400, no joke. I don't even know how, and never seems to be anything to eat.
I buy WAY too much Diet coke (I add that into the £300) I drink at least a couple of cans a day (no wonder I was so dear at the dentist, I don't have skanky teeth I swear......)
Anyhow, me and OH are going to sit down tonight, and make a meal plan, I envy people who can do this, because I only have about 7 meals I make, so gets a bit boring. Thing is, I have a big storecupboard, so much so that I open the door and I've got to catch cans of tuna and kidney beans, I have about 12kg of pasta in bags sitting in the linen closet. I don't know why I buy it, because we don't even eat that much pasta, I bulk out chilli and spag bol etc, but then all we seem to do is eat a bigger portion, Hahahaha.....plus Keira is so fussy she won't even try most things, though that is seriously away to be nipped in the bud, sick of her screaming she doesn't like it, if she TASTED it before she shouted that, I wouldn't mind......
I guess my point is, I have no imagination with food, though like looking at recipes, and I say I'm going to make it but never do, my shopping bill is way too high for 3 people (but then there is 2 greedy fat cats) and I AM ADDICTED TO DIET COKE AND CRISPS....and cigs.......I WILL STOP, once the packet I have is finished that's it, I ain't buying anymore. Lets see if I can do it this time......

Oh sweetie (((HUGS))) I would have sobbed too. Good job hubby had his key with him (although that seems a bit strange).
well, when I say with him, he actually took a taxi to where we were via the house to get the spare one. he used to carry it around all the time until I pointed out it was a bit pointless considering I am the one one that drives 90% of the time:rotfl::rotfl: trust you to spot the abridged part of my tale:cool::rotfl::T
Yesterday morning we took hubby to the station at 7am. I just picked Benjamin out of bed, didn't feed him or change his nappy or anything. I stuck my phone in my pocket (thank god) and off we went.
As I came back up the road 25 mins later I realised that I had no housekey  cue lots of comedy phonecalls trying to wake MIL up who thankfully has a spare (hubby was on the train by this time). Had to stop and feed Benjamin in the carpark of an office and when I got to MILs she couldn't find the key.....by the time she found it and we got back home my poor baby had been sitting in his wet night-time nappy for over 2 hoursa total of a 14 1/2 hours in total.
I'm a blonde bad mummy

If we're in the mood for daft mummy confessions, twice just lately I've left the leakproof lid thing on Rhys' bottles then wondered why he was sucking crazily on the teat but the amount wasn't going down!
Stupid thing is, my mum is always telling me the tale of when she did the same thing and I vowed not to do the same. She took me to a mother and baby group for me to be used by the health visitor as an example for pregnant mums (how to change a nappy on a wriggly baby or something!) and was bottle feeding me EBM, left the cap on and silently panicked that she couldn't work out why I had the bottle but was still crying. She made her excuses and left as soon as she could, got home, fed me, then took the bottle apart and found the leakproof lid still there..
I've also got to the end of the road and realised I'd forgotten his milk but that was very fortutious (sp?) as the delivery man followed me back down the road and delivered his crib0 -

Hello again - I'm sorry I'm always wandering in with weird questions and never talking, but the newborn is timeconsuming. My problem this time is that during the pre-C-section part of giving birth (the bit with the 12 hours of labour) I acquired a princely set of piles and now I can't poop. How to fix this when all the shops have closed for a public holiday and shortly after they did I ended up in horrible pain? I keep hopefully wandering in there and testing the waters, so to speak, but it does not go well.Organised Birthdays and Christmas: Spend So Far: £193.75; Saved from RRP £963.76

Ring the place and ask, they might let babes in arms in for free given he won't take up a seat!ooooh girls, have you all seen this: tess daly 10 weeks after baby's birth?
How about bitterly muttering something about it must be airbrushed? Would that be within the rules?Comping, freebieing and trying to pay the mortgage off early!0 -
I would like to wear my baby using a wrap (not sling, or ring sling) from birth but am petrified about supporting head etc. Has anyone had their baby in a wrap from birth.?
Is it the cradle carry position you used / use?
You can use a wrap from birth :-) Is it a stretchy wrap or a woven? This is the tie I use/used most often as it's really easy once you get the hang of it :-) Wrapsody has lots of good vidoes but the woman talks really really fast!Comping, freebieing and trying to pay the mortgage off early!0 -
