now here's the challenge: we all have to discuss it without the use of the following phrases:
unnatural
afford to hire a personal trainer
someone else to do all her housework
probably taking weird acai berry meds
game on!

Just expressed 150ml (5oz) in 10mins... Spent 45mins getting half an ounce down her neck, gave up and stuck her on the boob... I need to get her taking milk from something that's not me before my birthday... Hubby's arranging something and has got fil booked for babysitting both girls... No idea what we're doing or how long we'll be away from them for so I don't know if I'll get away with feeding her before we go and she'll not need anything else until we get back...A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...My Fathers Daughter wrote: »Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

there isnt alot I can do about it. I try to be firm with her and insist on getting her school things till she gives me them, but I just cant be rude or cross with a woman of 70 who so obviously misses being a mother to young children
.
I feel really sorry for her. Plus she had Darach every day after Cliodhna was born while DH was working until Tuesday there, when Cliodhna turned 6 weeks, which was a godsend and really appreciated.0 -

I will say that if it weren't for my stretchmarks I'd be fine in a bikini right now at 10wks 2mo (and would have been from about 4 weeks, I somehow managed to not put on much weight in either of my pregs:D
*puts fingers in ears while everyone calls me a smug cow*0 -

Afternoon allso, are you having it as pay instead of rolling the leave on til next year?
Yup, paid up instead. I get the option of either or a mix of the two, but they usually do the pay up at the end
weezl74 wrote:Elle, I have a question you might be able to help with... Keeping in touch days, do I get paid a normal day's wage plus my SMP or does it get deducted from my SMP, in which case I should do all of them in the UNPAID part of my maternity leave?My_Fathers_Daughter wrote: »Either your full wage or SMP...but if you have a nice employer like mine they might let you take your KIT days when is it best for [STRIKE]you [/STRIKE]the business and pay you for them once your SMP runs out
Unfortunately there are no guidelines on how KIT day pay should be worked out - whether it's on top, as a top-up or instead of SMP - it's down to the individual company to make their own rules. Mine is only the second period of Mat Leave the company has had since KIT days came in (200+ blokes and 25 women in the company!), and the first time round they did it as MFD suggests, worked whenever but only paid up once SMP had run out so it looks like you worked them in the unpaid bit
Rhys seems to have gotten his appetite back - he's been having much bigger feeds than previously and still wittering for more after a short while. Also he was breastfed at half five and half nine this morning and he seemed to get enough to keep him going for a good few hours so he must be getting better (more effective?) at itHe's also much more awake and has been bouncing around all morning, non-stop wriggling, and is now refusing to go to sleep - he's usually had a two hour nap by now! He's bashing his toy bar to bits in his crib for five mins.
HV has been round this morning to help with the DLA forms. I just need to copy it all into the forms now, get a physio report and then I can send it all off. HV said if I don't get the highest rate, I'm to get it reassessed until I do. Still feel a bit odd about claiming benefits and I'm scared we're going to end up being overpaid or something..
The end is in sight with the house.. The builder told me he's hoping to be done by Wednesday - so we'll call that Friday then! :j OH is going to sort the front garden out this afternoon - we have serious parking issues down our street and to be sure I can get my car on the drive too I need him to cut back all the bushes so it looks like I have more roomI was having friends round but one's not very well and the other one looks after her mum who is also not very well so they don't want to risk passing something on to Rhys. If Rhys runs out of steam, I'm going to make biscuits and sort some more boxes of junk.
