Caz, you can do it. One step at a time, drink a lot of tea/coffee/your personal poison scattered throughout the day, and I am SURE that work is no more tiring than dealing with your 5! You are going to be ok. Did you get so little sleep cuz of Erin being sick? :(

I didn't want to read and run but I'm not sure I can offer much help. Since you have 10 tests is it worth doing a second test? Or waiting a couple of days and trying again?

I would have thought that where the line is should be in the exposed part of the strip but I guess if they are cheap and manufactured quickly then the line part could have slipped under the plastic bit.

I don't want to give you false hope though and have you disappointed... do you have any other symptoms. My boobs hurt way before I was late, and it is quite a while since your last AF so is there anything else that could hint that you were? Failing that, tests are fairly cheap in Tesco at the mo, fairly sure I saw some for £1.50 a couple of weeks back, is it worth trying one of them?

Have both fingers and toes crossed for you hun

Thanks for replying Harley1, Definitely worth trying another test, but will have to wait for tomorrow now as I threw the sample away! Thanks for the tip about Tescos, I'll try to get there today.

The only symptom I've really got is being incredibly hot at night, in spite of sleeping with the windows open and no covers on. Oh, and being really tired (even though I'm on school holidays at the moment). If I let myself think that I may be pregnant I find that I feel a bit queasy, but I think that's more nervousness than anything else! Saying that though, I don't really get any symptoms with periods, so wasn't really expecting anything with pregnancy either.

Any one else got any opinions about where on the strip the positive line might appear?

Think I was about 6/7 weeks when I decided to test as my periods varied between 4 and 6 weeks. last one previous was 6 weeks which was longest gap to date. Anyway, I tested at 6pm and got a very clear line.

If the ebay tests are really cheap why not try another one of them before you head off to Tesco? Even £1.50 is worth saving if you get a definitive result from a second test. Being tired is a good sign but that could just be that you are not sleeping too well because of the heat. And it is quite hot, though I'm 33 weeks now so I'm hot all the time, but they commented on it on tv this morning so I know it's not just me.

I really hope that things work out for you and would love to see you over on the pregnancy thread in the very near future. Please let us know what your next test says. xxxx

re: preg tests If you aren't sure - why not phone the Dr's and ask if they can help you confirm? That way, even if it takes a few days or so you have a medical opinion?.

I know that using the the first urine of the day means the hormones are more concentrated. Have you considered trying a non-line pg test, such as the one with words on it? It might give you an easier result to read? Not very mse but putting your mind at rest either way may be worth it. good luck for teh result you are hoping for. x

Happy half birthday to you, Happy half birthday to you, Happy half birthday to Annabel happy half birthday to YOU!!!!!! *in best singing voice*

Yep, my little girly is now a whole 6 months old.

My mum and granny are coming over to visit so we are having a wee party at lunchtime for her :D

DH announced last night that he can't wait any longer for a holiday so I have re-suggested my idea of self-catering in Aviemore. He seems keen so I'm looking for inspiration - anyone anything they can recommend?

Also, can anyone recommend a backpack-style baby carrier? thanks x

PS - I'm still torn about a jumperoo!

I tested 3 days before I was due with Caitlyn and the line came up ridiculously pale, we didn't know if it was a positive or a fade line, had to wait until the next morning and get a clearblue that spelled it out to me! mrsmb, I would of peed on the rest of those tests by now ;)

MFD, I just write a great load of waffle then, but figured all I wanted to say was... You're a very intelligent and articulate person. I'm sure you're answering the questions brilliantly even if it doesn't feel like it. :)
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

  • Heh, I will tell Izzy she has 2 babies stalking her on the internet ;)

My mum has just left to push Izzy down to the allotment in the buggy in the hopes that she will go to sleep, so I'd better crack on with getting the washing on and then drive down to meet them. We've not been down for about 2 weeks, other than brief visits to pick things, so we have LOADS of weeding to do!
