We have a pop man that comes round here and we had a couple of crates of pop off him... But we just weren't drinking it... And he was calling every week... And he's quite an abrupt man.... I've avoided the door for the past few wednesdays, just stuck the empty crate out last week... Thought he might of taken the hint... But he knocked today, and I was in the kitchen so couldn't really not answer... I just played the dutiful wife and told him my husband hadn't left me any money... And no I couldn't just take a crate and pay next week because I didn't know what he wanted to order... Looks like I'll be back to hiding upstairs on a Wednesday morning
I'm thinking about getting rid of the milk man, but I'm too soft to say anything. The milk keeps getting more and more expensive and I'm in the shops everyday with work, so it's not like it would be a hassle to pick it up locally. I'm currently paying £1.76 for a 2 litre carton, but it only costs £1.53 for a 2.27 litre (4 pints) carton in Tesco.
The milk lady doesn't ring the doorbell, so I don't realise she's at the door. When she finally catches up with us, we end up with a massive bill to pay and she's gets a bit stroppy saying it's affecting their cash flow and stuffI keep telling her if she rang the bell I would answer the door and pay her, but she never still never rings it.

why don't people use a bit of compassion before treating everything as a business?!
That's an awful story Sami. I feel so sorry for that poor lady
Buttons - that's quite a rant and there seems to be a lot going on there. I hope you can start getting some of the stuff sorted out. My hubby snores if he lies on his back, but he's ok if he lies on his side. If he's turned on his back and wakes me up, I kick him and punch him until he turns over. Sometimes he wakes up and I pretend I'm asleep. He thinks I'm a restless sleeper that punches and kicks people in her sleep:D
We had an issue where he wouldn't put his laundry in the washing basket and was stuffing it down the side of his drawers. On a weekend, I'd want to get a load in early and kept asking for his stuff and he'd keep saying "in a minute" until it was afternoon before the stuff was getting put in the machine and it wasn't getting out to dry until the next day. A few weekends of getting up and only washing what was in the basket solved thatHere I go again on my own....0 -

Erm thats the capacity of my memory right now, if I have missed anything out Im sorry I didnt mean to, hope your all well or as well as can be if your having problems x
All is good here still recovering from a crazy weekend, need more sleep.
Lexi is good apart from getting me up far too early for my liking. I shouldnt complain as she goes down at 6.30 -7pm and sleeps through but she has been getting up at 5am for about 10 days now and not going back down and I am shattered. Sophie giraffe arrived yesterday morning and she quite likes her, only problem is the squeaker - Brandy (my dog) also like the look of her :rotfl:

phew! Button do you feel better for having your rant?
most of the things you said are the same here
points that I've had success with are clothes; if they're not in the basket they don't get washed, took a while for him to run out of clean pants n socks but he has now learnt
we agreed that xbox could only be played at certain times and never when he's alone with Chris (I don't think its appropriate to be playing an 18 game with a 2yo around!)
I say sod the mess, I'm a bit of a mr trebusbut going out in the fresh air and socialising is more important for all our sanity than cleaning and tidying.
I'm still working on the not giving in to tantrums whinging etc.
do try to talk about it with him otherwise it'll just fester and you will end up splitting up and or end up miserable.

It may turn out that he is a perfectly fine, active child, at least you will have your mind put at rest:) Just wanted to add that even if the tablets make you feel worse at first, stick with them, you will feel like a new person after a few weeks:D
Sami - That story is disgusting, I showed my husband he just said "welcome to britain PLC"
JakesMummy - Did you get a chance to look into Uni's, let us know the outcome when you do:)

buttonmoons, sorry bout ur OH, I could join u on the rant but I would be here all day!!! Oh and I was worried about a smear cos the first one I had was done by a evil doctor woman who cranked the thing up so much, left it there while she fannied about with the cotton bud things after she'd done the swab, I was ready for pulling the thing out myself! But I had one the other week by a nurse and it was easy! I hardly felt anything, def wasnt painful, jus a bit uncomfy, glad I got it out the way.0 -

it doesn't apply now because its high season but if you go in low season don't do the gift aid thing, they charge you high season's price if you do
Thanks Sami, going to go next week I think. Tom is off work so was thinking of doing a few days out, The Zoo, Camelot and Horseshoe pass in Wales...cant think of anywhere else right now but Im sure something will spring to mind. Might leave him with children so I can go shopping in Manchester or something
