JM - might be worth speaking to the college/uni - they might have a bursary fund you can apply to for help?

r.mac If there's no baby spaces I "spark" (that's sami parking
) basically park over 2 spaces, no one will park near you because they think you'll be a crap driver and they don't want to risk getting their car scratched by you

Thanks all for the welcome.
Rubbish day here weatherwise and I'm struggling to find ways to entertain the baby, all our usual Tuesday activities are cancelled due to holidays and we've already walked round tescos and m and s!0 -

I noticed our Sainsbury's has signs saying they are for people with children under 12. Why would you need a parent and child space for an 11 year old?
I had an argument with my friends husband about him using the space with his 8 year old who wasn't even on a booster seat any more - he answer was that they were parent and child spaces  and this was way before I was pregnant!
Actually I wish they didn't put the spaces so close to the store because if they were further away people would be less likely to nick them. I like them for the door opening space and I also like ones where you don't have to be crossing the aisles to get to the store. This is where Tesco is quite good as it has loads which are really far from the entrance but you don't have to cross the aisles.
Both our Sainsburys and Asda have P&C spaces tucked away around the corner which are much better because nobody else wants them
ISusan - ours is a sporty three door number as well :rotfl: It's really easy with an isofix base + car seat, but you do have to open the door more than if you have a five door car. I know what you mean about not having to walk across the aisles - and I think that's a great idea.
I love my isofix baseit is an absolute joy!! Although I have had some funny looks and somebody actually shouted over to warn me that I hadn't strapped the baby in :rotfl:

He has booked me in for a hot stones back massage later on today as he says I havent had time to relax since before I was pregnant and I deserve some me time
I am SO jealous
Benjamins illness has now passed from him to hubby to meI spent most of the night trying not to be sick...which in hindsight I probably would have been better doing (sorry TMI). Then Benjamin decided to wake at 1.30pm, 3.30pm and 4.30pm before I gave up and put him in with us. Not like him at all...although I didn't put him in a sleeping bag last night because he had a fleecy sleepsuit on so I am now thinking he may have been cold
Sami - I forgot to applaud your grumpy McNoBooby last night - here you go :T:T:T

Here you have the first set at the 8 week check, which you are sent an appointment letter for, then they tell you to go book appointments for the other 2 injections yourself. Its funny how they all do it differently.
I'm meant to be at mum Mums at 12, but I have a sleeping baby on me at the mo! Will give her another 10 mins but I'm going to have to wake her up soon!Isabella Molly born 14th January 2009

(Although it may be breaking the rules in some carparks as sometimes they say you must park in marked bays.)
I'll just point out I don't do it if the car park is packed :A0
