Congratulations EmLou - no romantic proposal for me, agreed a date in advance (my 21st) I chose my ring as well a month before - I'd still be waiting now otherwise. I did make him go down on one knee in our living room though just before we left for a meal to celebrate.

Mothers Day, Father's Day, birthdays, Valentine's etc. are all moveable dates in this house.

DH works shifts so we move them to his next day off and go out for a meal somewhere.

The only inflexible days are Christmas Day and DD's birthday - he tries to book Christmas off or we arrange the events of the day around his start/ finish times (he's rostered off this year :j:j:j). We also take annual leave for DD's birthday and take her out for the day.

DD and I attend church on Sunday's and all the children are given a small bunch of daffodils to give to their mummy's on Mothering Sunday - my mum never wants anything either so I just get her a little token of my appreciation.

DH is one of 5 all with children with children far too many birthday's. I must at the next get together get a list of everyone's birthday and set up a reminder list - I do know in December I have 5 birthdays, 4 of them Christmas week!

I strongly dislike banks tonight - I'm in the middle of transferring to a bank that agrees that we are sensible enough with money to be allowed an electron card - but the old bank hasn't provided details of our Direct Debits!! DH already moved wages to new account (my wages still paid in to old account but not enough to cover) so lots of bounced Direct Debits in the next 4 days, transferred DH's wages back - I have e-mailed old bank expressing my dissatisfaction with them. I need to keep the account open though as I now get paid weekly so I was going to store my money there and transfer it across in a lump once a month - makes managing the budget easier.

I've prepared a list of all my payments and details and it's sat on the mantelpiece ready for posting first class tomorrow thank god for online banking all references and orginator ID's available.

Just moved my Child Benefit payments as well - no Tax Credits this year - it's because of not working then working means I've overpaid by a whole £20 - being taken from my first payment next year! I can't keep them separate for DD as CCCS class them as income for our DMP.

Sorry to ramble tired, going to bed myself now, work tomorrow.

    MDW
Proud to be dealing with my debts
    DD Katie born April 2007!
3 years 9 months and proud of it

Do you lot play Farmville? That game is so poo! You are better playing Farmtown on FB, as you can get hired in the marketplace and make extra money/xp points so you progress! Honest trust me, I'm a pro....not tute.

Oh, I hadn't thought about that. It's me who's the person to apply for all these things and they're being paid into my account but OH is named on them.. I wonder if CCCS want to include half as his income?! I hope not! :o

I tried a game called country story and it's quite addictive, bit like Harvest moon on the DS.

I also tried this rollercoaster game but there is clearly a glitch or something as it wouldn't let me hire someone to man the front desk of the theme park, and all the people were standing outside with angry faces. I feared for my life, mob mentality. They were going to bring the signs out. So I deleted it.

I have had a vodka so I may speak rubbish.
