Hubbys family send us anniversary cards which frankly I find weird!!
I do send SIL one though because she gets very upset if we don't (I didn't the first year I knew hubby!) and I don't want to upset her.
Leather...shoes, a leather bound book, a bookmark (inside the Karma Sutra), a steering wheel cover, leather gloves, a belt, leather trousers...degenerating into your hubbys territory!!
my parents werent big on the whole mum and dad day either, they prefrred being taken out on their birthdays !! I am sure we did stuff as kids, but now they get a card and a bunch of flowers for mum and a bottle of VAT 19 for dad !!
Chris does not buy for anyone in his family ever !! His parents and sisters thought something was up when they all got cards for their birthdays the 1st year we were together !!!The two best things I have done with my life

Same thing happened here - OH's parents were mega surprised he even remembered their birthdays. He didn't. I'd spoken to his Dad on MSN and got all the dates and put them in my diary.. Strangely OH never questioned how I suddenly knew everyone's birthdays! :rolleyes:0 -

I hate Mothers/fathers day/valentines/!!!!!!! whatever day.
My mum is a right nag for me handing that rubbish out but I hate it, don't see why I should spend money on cards that go in the bin next day and is really a made up day!
I gave her a handmade one that Keira doodled on this year and she called me cheap! She can b***** off from now on! She complained I only bought her a GIANT cake for her 40th, yet gave me nothing for my 21st last year, or anything for Xmas, oh yes and I'm still waiting for Keira's Xmas present as she went to Spain and had no money. Great stuff.
I gave my sisters £50 worth of stuff, Lisa got £50 to spend in town, and Ellie got one of them digital cameras. I bought her & my dad a digital camera, and we get ZIP NOWT. I'll get the kids this year but she can lick my bum!
Oh Keira just managed a bit of poo, not much! I put her on the loo and I nipped out to get her BEN AND BELLA ON THE BIG BLUE TRAIN book, and I came back and there was poo on the toilet seat, smeared down her bum and leg.....Eck! I know there is loads more to come as she can't sleep because of a sore tummy, so OH has her over his knee and is rubbing her back.
At least she is going on the loo though, suprisingly easy and OMG today she ate a QUARTER of a tuna sandwich. That's like MAJOR BIG DEAL, she normally won't touch anything remotely sandwich like, let alone with fish inside. Gave her shepherds pie for tea, but she declared she wasn't hungry, but at least she is eating new things. So pleased!0 -
