Taken me ages to catch up, going bed in a mo as it's not been a good day, never mind though as there's a chance to make amends tomorrow and have a good one!
Congratulations Emlou, X.
Well done on bedtime MM. (I see you and SM are getting smutty again). tut!!!
Ben was 6 last month and he cycles really well. Went out yesterday down the lanes with daddy and is very good now at staying on the right side. Always wears a helmet even though some of his friends don't but a good habit to have.
Re sleeping, all of mine have slept with me whilst BF. On the outside with my arm round them. I keep my arm there so that I know where she is and I wake in the same position. We are all different and I need my sleep. Also know that OH can't sleep next to her as he would roll over!Too many children, too little time!!!0 -

We do cards and a night away for our anniversary but don't do valentines - I hate it!!!! If you want to treat me, do it when you want to, not when Mr Hallmark tells you to

Congrats Emlou!
xx
We haven't got an anniversary.. We started seeing more of each other at work, then staying late at work, then he went to the States for three weeks and I went (or came, as I'm here now?) to his house when he got back.. Started seeing him more out of work from the end of Nov.. Split up with my bf (ahem!) in my head in Dec, carried on spending time at Craig's.. Finally shook the ex off in Feb (he was away at uni so it was like several phone arguments a week for months!), then told everyone at work on my birthday, 22nd Feb..
We've set the crib up and Rhys is lying in it now, babbling away to himself0 -

PMSL - DH is trying NOW to get me to think of what I want for my 30th in November... I'm crap at thinking of things and apparently he can't make me 5 years younger... *sigh*Full moon in 2 days so close... hmmm worrying!
mitmot - a pet name for any cat - picked up from my very english mate many years ago... no idea where it came from before thatMaybe Moggy?
It's my cat Hugin to be precise - and THAT is from Norse mythology - one of Odins two ravens (Hugin and Munin - thought and memory)... The ravens names have had significance in our family for several generations
Raven's were used to help find land - I learnt that from QI the other dayMy_Fathers_Daughter wrote: »:money: do you think we could get Martin to include it in his email :money:

I hate valentines too! I told hubby if he ever proposed on val day I'd say no just coz it's cheesey
isn't mother's day started from a religious thing?? all the mum's get a little card with a poem on it on mothering sunday at church
EDIT:History of Mothering Sunday
Most Sundays in the year churchgoers in England worship at their nearest parish or 'daughter church'.
Centuries ago it was considered important for people to return to their home or 'mother' church once a year. So each year in the middle of Lent, everyone would visit their 'mother' church - the main church or Cathedral of the area.
Inevitably the return to the 'mother' church became an occasion for family reunions when children who were working away returned home. (It was quite common in those days for children to leave home for work once they were ten years old.)
And most historians think that it was the return to the 'Mother' church which led to the tradition of children, particularly those working as domestic servants, or as apprentices, being given the day off to visit their mother and family.
As they walked along the country lanes, children would pick wild flowers or violets to take to church or give to their mother as a small gift.0 -
I've just tinkered with his toy arch. The crib is really deep but I've extended the dangly things with the plastic loops from his play gym so he can reach them now0
