Thanks for the link guys, I'll go and check it out.
Welcome Chopsticks. Have you tried to up your supply? There are a few ladies here that have succeeded in doing so...

Nope, I haven't but I would like to try. I don't suppose you have any more info to hand do you? Don't worry if not, I'll search the thread and see what I can find.

I'm expressing in place of the formula as I thought that would help maintain the supply I do have, but haven't tried anything to actually increase my supply IYKWIM.

My right boob is the one that's had the mastitis the worst and the supply in that side is definitely less than in my left boob. She also took a lump out of my right nipple which hasn't healed 100% yet so I don't think that's helped either.

Eeek, I sound like I'm falling apart!
  • MFD I'm with you on the whole washing malarky!! Hand washing whats that???

Hand washing is for jessies ;):D

Its about halfway down the page.

While I think about it MFD, did you know you can stop milk flow by pushing the heel of your hand against your nipple when you feel let down. I do it on the side I'm not feeding on to stop leaking but it does work any time you feel let down... Thought it might help with your breastpad consumption ;)

Right, off to settle the baby so iPod only from now on... Don't expect any long messages from me...

I remember you saying this once before and I did try it when I was feeding Benjamin naked in bed one day last week (I know - just call me weirdo ;)) either I wasn't doing it right or my boobage is just too leaky cos I just got a wet hand and my top booby dripped on poor Benjamins face until I managed to grab a pad :rotfl:

Feely is the font of all knowledge! Well, apart from Krystal but I guess you know that she is our BF guru!

There are some herbal remedies, Elle is on some reflux medicine which has a side-effect of upping supply, and Oats are supposed to be good.

thanks i thought there would have been a lunch break and a smaller break but your only allowed 3 x 10 mins all day!

have to phone or nip in tom and ill find out when i have to go back! it was non stop all day and TBH i done really well, i didnt make any mistakes however there was a big one made by someone! they told someone that the special was suitable for vegans and it wasnt lol! they did get a full refund though. must be the MSE in me but i dont think i could shop there! the toothpaste was £6 and shampoo £9 a mans tiny basket came to £80 and i nearly died lol! i want a trolley full for that!

That must feel pretty non-stop with just the short breaks... at least you get the free food and drink, that's not bad and you must get time to eat it? I guess the real question is, whether you felt ok today - and can see doing it again and again the same - because if you were really frustrated by the lack of a break it may be worth bringing it up, but unless it's important to you then it might be more important to keep good relations with your manager/the owner? Does that sound wussy?

Sounds like you had a good day generally anyway! Well done!

    Hiya sweetie!

How do you wind her now?

Someone on here said lay baby down and raise up to sitting very slowly - a few goes of this makes the wind bubble to the top.
I find putting both Bejamins arms over my shoulder so he is really straight when I rub his back works...but mainly he gets his own up.

There is the dentinox stuff that you put in their bottles but not sure if you could use it with the reflux medicine??

Bruno what a handsome chappie you have there

caz sounds like your first day went well, well done. Not sure I'd be happy with that breaks but it's difficult to question things when you've just started.

Not a recommendation, but Rhys' nurse suggested half an ounce of cooled boiled water for Rhys as he can't have gripe water. Not had to use it yet though.

Chopsticks, what I'm on is the last option. The herb MFD probably means is Feenugreek and, as she says, oats are said to be good too.

Some links which might help you:-

Well if Krystal's on her iPod (and can't do links?) and Feely's away right now, you're stuck with me, I'm afraid.. :o
