We were looking through the old photos on the lappy last night, and the ones of Violet when she was new seems so long ago! I've already forgotton how tiny she was!

We were doing this last night!! Benjamin looks so tiny and new in the photos I forgot he was ever that dinky!! Now he is like a miniature toddler!!

I forgot! I had a really upset little girl last night - its so not like her!

She had a very red cheek, and a proper upset cry and lots of slobber (And very smelly bottom wind!)- so i'm guessing it could be a tooth, although I can't feel/see anything.
Gave her half a A&P powder - i'd forgotton how great they were. She instantly settled and slept til 5am!

The powders don't seem to do anything for Benjamin  think I might try a full one next time and if it doesn't do anything I may well have some up for grabs ;):D
    Hi Ladies (and Gent(s))

Do you mind if i join you, been reading this thread for a couple of weeks now and thought i would put my toe in the water.

Am SAHM to Scarlet & James, which i love. Am also starting diet today, now that James is 6 months old so probably will need encouragement/motivation. It's so hard with the cruddy weather though as am allergic to exercise but do love walking and visits to the park with my little ones.

BIL & SIL still spell my name wrong on every Christmas card and Birthday card! Their kiddies have traditional Muslim names, so I've got it written down somewhere how to spell them!

That just goes to show that you are a MUCH nicer person than they are Feely.
Not sure if this was a typing/reading error or if you were just being cheeky :rotfl::rotfl:

Don't worry Scrummy, some of us are near enough your age and MFD is always making reference to old stuff which the young 'uns don't get, last time it was the words to a meatloaf song if I'm not mistaken.

Feelie, I don't know about hiding your arms when swimming, I assume you mean you need someting long sleeved and I can't think of anything, our local pool won't even let you wear a t shirt, so you might have to ring and check, Or (and this might be a genius idea,) go in your pyjamas and take a brick too and say you are doing your lifesaving!

If i confess to the fact that the kids and i spend 40% of our days in our PJ's, can i stay??? ;)
  • Ooops - can't count to 3 again  deleted MrsT's post that I wanted to quote.
Remote lullaby on the monitor - Benjamin used to drop off to it...now he just wants to sing to it :rotfl:

Feeling much better here after we both conked out on the big bed for 2 hours. Phone rang at half 3 and I got up to answer it without putting a pillow in my place, and baby promptly rolled off the bed. No harm done, but poor baby, what a rubbish way to wake up :( Lesson learnt for next time anyway . :o

Aw - poor Izzy :( hope she is okay - give her extra cuddles from Auntie MFD xxx

Bad times again in the Bee home :(
I'm so emotional/highly strung right now, its giving me a head ache, so tense I can't even manage to cry.
Managed my 1st bit of food n drink at 3:30 - cup of tea and a bit of chicken which was going to be a chicken sandwich but OH has stolen my breast off last nights roast chuck  I have no time for that man right now and stealing my chicken is the last straw :rotfl: I sound mad i know but seriously he's all take take take recently and I'm sick of it! I think he's away tonight and tomorrow, I'm glad to see the back of him - how bad is that! I don't even know if he is away and where he is if he's away because we don't really talk anymore *big fat sigh*

Sami - what would you be telling me if I posted the above??
    ((((BIG HUGS)))) chick xx

Just dealt with the mother of all poo exlosions from child b. Thankfully managed to extract him from vest without covering his head in excrement. Children are such messy creatures and i am eternally grateful for the fact that DH and i had the foresight to purchase dark coloured washable sofa covers long before they were conceived of both mentally and physically. Not sure my eyes and nose will ever recover from the shock though ;)

Talking of age, i'm 36 and am feeling thoroughly ancient compared to some of you young 'uns, ah well, i had a very mispent 20's, that's my excuse and i'm sticking to it:D

I find rolling the vest up is the best way to deal with poo explosions.

    I'm not a young 'un...and I also had a very misspent 20's....and early 30's ;):D

I have the Chicco, and I love it:D...however, it does not fold very small when the seat is in rear facing position, it's kind of long! It folds ok in forward facing mode though and to be fair the seat clips on and off sooooooo easily that it might be feasible to just do that for putting it in the boot.

I haven't got a car at the moment so can't be any more precise, sorry:o

It's also nice and cheap on Kiddicare;)

Can't get it up on Kiddicare, the banner link for the special offer takes me to parasols. Have found the Buzz 3 at £199. Takes soo long to search with attatched baby, how did I forget!!!
Too many children, too little time!!!

Rant: I've been suffering with really bad hip pain going right across my pelvis ever since I was about 8 months pregnant with DS2. I couldn't sleep on my back as I ended up with a crampy type pain in my back. I still can't sleep on my back and it hurts if I lie on my front as well although not as bad. I then have to slowly move until I can change position/get up.
If there is an obstetric physio service in your area, that's what you really need, by the sound of it, but first step is going back, hopefully seeing someone else, and asking for a referral.

Redmel - i'm also using the 'middle child syndrome' excuse to try and get a no. 4! :rotfl:
For the record, my middle child seems remarkably well-adjusted, so please don't think you MUST all keep having more babies to avoid a syndrome! Surely there are also 'eldest child', 'youngest child', and 'one of far too many children' syndromes?

She can go the whole day without it, but she wants it to sleep with, which I don't mind too much, it's the nagging throughout the day for it that gets on my nerves.
Can you 'lose' it? Or do a star chart if she doesn't ask for it? Or perhaps better yet, get two jars, put some buttons or dry pasta or pennies into one, and every time she asks for it she 'loses' a penny into the other jar, anything left in the 'good' jar at the end of the day can be put towards a treat.
I know fine she is going to play up with the needle 100%, and her Dad is off work that week so is coming, and he will be putty in her hands, as usual.....I know fine what she is going to ask for too, THE ICE CREAM SHOP DADDY. Her fave place that!
Let Daddy take her then, by himself. Honest. OR "we go to the ice cream shop if you don't make a big fuss. If you make a big fuss we come straight home."
