Right... elle I don't suppose it was a big fat black tom cat? Mines gone ruddy walkabout! He obviously knows he's off to the vet this afternoon so has decided to go and hide somewhere grrrrr
He usually goes out for a morning widdle and when comes back for some grub but DH unbeknown to me fed him before letting him out - I could scream... I really could!

*goes off mumbling about husbands and stupid cats who won't see that going to the vet isn't for MY amusement but his sake*
That would be one long walk he'd gone on :rotfl: I bet he comes back about 10 seconds after you call to cncel the app

Sami - thankfully we don't have an appointment - my mate is working this afternoon but isn't actually doing consults today :) So she said to bring him in some time between 2 and 3 and she'd deal with him herself :)

Ruddy toad is still walkabout grrrr

Any recommendations for milk storage pots/bags for the freezer?

I brought home 25 x 50ml pots and about 8 x 130ml pots from the hospital and they're nearly all in the freezer now.. Don't suppose anywhere normal does 50ml size pots, do they? (50ml being a Rhys size feed :))

I have the tommee tippee CTN pump (asda baby event ) and just want to give a thumbs up to their customer service. My handle melted in the steriliser as did my steriliser tray and they sent me a new handle and tray free of charge. They also sent me spare valves too. I also complained about some of their bottles (the bpa free ones) as you cant read the measurement lines when there is condensation as they are clear markings. They told me to send all my bottles back and they would refund me even though i got the bottles from somewhere else.

Elle - I sterilise an ice cube tray and put the frozen cubes in sterile tubs. Nice little portions, which I plan on using when cooking or making cereal later. Would that work? I also freeze 100ml in the avent 140ml tubs.

    Are your little tubs reusable?

We used Boots own brand storage bags and found them fine. I never thought of using pots - that is probably a much cheaper way of doing it since they are reusable.

    Hi Elle

Not sure about 50ml pots, but Asda do little tiny storage pots for 25p (I think) They hold 100ml. Could you maybe stock up on those and using a jug empty 50ml of water into it and mark it with a marker....You could then still use the pots as and when he ups his feeds...just mark the side with whatever measurement you need.

Of course one problem is whether the marker would stay on the pot once washed and sterilised?

Thanks Sparkle - no it wouldn't be for us to make money (unless she becomes the next Jodie Kidd or Helena Christensen in which case I'll expect a very nice retirement home in my old age :rotfl:) more because I actually think it could be fun, she might get some great pictures (free :rotfl:) and it's MSE because what she "earns" we wouldn't have to pay later when she's uni age ;)

On that line... how much can an infant earn before Mr Brown wants a share of their earnings? If it's a couple of grand then we'd be ok - there is no chance she'd do that much (I'm hoping for 2 or 3 shoots maybe if we're lucky...)

And she IS gorgeous ;) but is she "what they're looking for" is the big question? :) My stepsister is a model - used to do united colours of benneton and other big names so I know a fair bit about the model world and especially it's pitfalls... :(
The thing is, just because you have a gorgeous baby, does not mean you will be successul. (and have you seen some of the babies in advets etc )
I'm trying to find the words to explain what I mean.
Basically they need babies/children who are good infront of a camera etc.
Ther's no point booking a gorgeous bairn if they are gonna cry at all the attention/lights/people. (not saying yours will, just stating what they look for)
Take my son for example (DS1) he is apparently a very handsome young boy, was a gorgeous baby, the amount of people who urged me to put him up for modelling was unreal, even photographers, but I knew he was not a 'model child' the boy cant sit still for more than 30 secs lol

We got 'accepted' by two child modelling agencies (Scallywags and Elisabeth Smith) but OH went along to the initial picture shoot thing and was very offput by the environment and how everyone was treated, decided it wasn't worth any potential income (especially with the up front charges which I think were 250 quid). Will be interesting to hear how you go with it!

I was a naughty mummy last night - LO wouldn't settle properly and kept crying in her sleep. DH was starting to stress so at 3am LO and I went to the spare room and cuddled up together - she was asleep almost instantly and slept through to 8am - little tyke! I hope that I ahven't made a rod for my own back though.....Her teething pain is huge this week though and I feel so sorry for her. Calpol and teething gel doesn't seem to be helping that much. Is this normal and should I carry on as we are or should I seek extra medical advice because it's not normal?

Sounds fairly normal by our experience :/ sorry. Try all the different things, teething powders, icy teethers, frozen banana... something will help, or at least by the time you've gone through them all her tooth will be through.
