Ooo - forgot to say that yesterday we went to Ikea to pick up the Antilop high chair. We have a big fancy one that my brother gave us but all that padding etc is not conducive to baby led weaning.

I have the antilop from a boot sale! yay benjamin and fergie can be high chair pals ;) he is already baby gym pals with Rhys ;)

This, on the other hand, is a little plastic miracle. Benjamin (having reached his 3 milestones to start BLW) sat in there this afternoon and messed around with some carrot and broccoli (sp?) for a while (I really need to learn to spell that!). He did eat some broccoli we think but we are loving the lack of pressure thing at the moment. If he wants to eat he will, if not then we are happy to just keep giving him little things until he is ready :D

Although - rather than picking the food up (which he can do quite easily now) he was sliding along to the side of the tray and then leaning down to pick it up in his mouth/suck it off the tray :rotfl::rotfl:

So, once Benjamin was bored of playing with the food I carried the whole tray into the kitchen (it is SO light) wiped the whole thing off and disinfected it within 30 seconds :T

We will get the fancy high chair out once Benjamin has mastered the basics!

So - now I need some cheap tablecloths...or even sheets...to go underneath it. Any ideas anyone?

    well done benjamin :T:T:T:T:T:T

mfd weirdly in my head I always think of benjamin as older than ferg, cos I still think in gestational age, rather than from birth! I think it about seth too, that he's just a day littler than fergie :)

mfd I bought a vinyl tablecloth thingie in shaws the draper for £1.25, but if you haven't got one of those then dunelm does wipe clean stuff by the metre in some nice patterns. One is a bit Cath Kidston. Ooooooh r.mac, you might like that one!

Elijah made up for it by flirting with everyone and charming them though, and no-one seemed to mind his streaming orifices :eek so that's all ok! Think his best success was doing his darndest to dance to Billie Jean :) Wore him right out too, and we didn't get back til after bedtime, so he went out like a light.

this made me laugh out loud :) *sings* 'the kiiiiid is not my son' I guess you could've just sung that bit at him if the dancing was really ropey :):p

Anyone looking for vouchers for alton towers/chessington/legoland/thorpe park or the dungeons/warwick castle/sea life centres/madame tussauds I may be able to help you out ;)

sami I love etsy! I was gonna put some activity cubes on there and see how they went down...

I'd love to go to legoland :) dh took me there for the day when we'd been dating for a year. What an amazing day. My best bit was the rooms with 3x3metre pits of masses of various bricks. Little kids came and went, building for 15mins ish. We were in that bit for 2 hrs while DH built a robot and I made a Canada Goose!!!!!

Caz, many hugs for you :( have you had chance for a chat?

Mfd netto had wipeable table cloths for £2.99 last week, maybe they still have some, (

Aldi had some as well a weel or so ago for the same price.... might not be the choice of colours left but worth a try.

Caz, sorry to hear about your probs.... blooming men (Bruno excluded)....

will be glad when OH gets a job...at least he'll do some work round the house then. I know that seems the wrong way round but since he's been out of work its harder to get him to do things... Got a few days work this week with a friend before we go on holiday but would prefer him to get a proper job with one of the interviews he went for..hours are shorter and pay better....well thats my rant over... feel better now.
Mum to 2 lovely boys who keep me busy.

Hope you are ok caz - thinking of you *hugs* xx

Was tired last night and was laying on the sofa watching a film but could hear Charlotte yelling in her bedroom. Hubby went up and she'd taken her jarma bottoms of and was dancing in her bed, singing her head of and swinging the jarma bottoms round her head. He asked why she'd taken the jarma bottoms off and she claimed they "just fell off" :rotfl:
Here I go again on my own....

if it were me the nanny would be doing the 5 a day and I'd look after the kids. I don't actually find child care that much of a strain. But 5 a day forever sounds like a prison sentence! :)

    Hiya all.
Hugs to anyone that needs them, Caz especially, I can totally sympathise with you hun.

Well I was sooooooooooooooooooo ill yesterday, I dunno what came over me, I was throwing up and ached all over, Mum thought I was getting swine flu lol
Feel a bit better today, just a bit headachy.

My bairn slept through last night for the first time in days, I think he knew I needed it!

I am in a bit of a quandry though, I have fallen into a trap of repeatedly replacing his dummy while he's falling asleep, he's fine once he's asleep he doesnt ave it for the rest of the night, it's just that falling asleep phase, so I have to stay in the room until he's asleep!
Any suggestions, he's 15 weeks  so I'm not sure if he's too young to use CC or anything?
