No grateful, we dont have a Union.
Basically the company was put up for sale a while ago. As far as we know, there is no new buyer and the funders are getting nervous it seems that the company hasnt been purchased and have therefore pulled the funding.
If we have no funding, we basically have no products to sell......all appointments for new business have been cancelled this week.
All of the managers were taken into a meeting yesterday afternoon (apart from mine, who was off on holiday  ) and when they asked about redundancies etc, they were told that they didnt know.
they said that we may not even be able to get anything from the government......I dont know why, but then I dont know enough about how it works.
Someone who does the wages has said on the QT that they have been processed but they dont know if there is any money in the account to pay us. Im pretty sure its scaremongering and am trying not to worry about.
I cant remember who asked, but YES, if I dont get my pay, Im seriously up S**T Creek with no paddle.......Im single and only have my salary.....there is no other half.
Im trying not to think about it. Im going home and finishing bulding my furniture and getting the other stuff sold and as many gift baskets etc on Ebay as possible......to start getting as much cash in as I can!
I will just need to worry about having no pay as and when it comes to it!
ETA - the finance dept have been told not to hand out our wage slips.....Sometimes lurking, sometimes posting, but always flying
