Well done G&B!!! You're making fantastic progress... feel free to come and sort my house out when you've done your flat :D

BTW - I don't use gloss, I use eggshell or whatever the vinyl version is called. It's matt, and it's also water based so doesn't smell so bad (lower VOC for those who know/care)!

    Evening all,

    That's great news about Toots's complementary treatment:j.

I've had a hectic day today, i had college this morning and this woman came in to teach us Batik and she was the most patronising woman i have ever met:mad:.

Then i had to take Ds2 for his injections, poor thing cried and said oww you're hurting me. He then told his brother that two ladies had massive needles and they pushed them into his arms and hurt him.

Then Ds2 had a Birthday party to go to in his friends garden and even though it was pouring with rain and they had to keep coming inside they all had a great time.

I have booked a camping holiday with OH, Sds, Ds1 & Ds2:eek:. I'm really excited but last year in a caravan was a nightmare and we came home a day early. The girls are going on holiday with their friends this year not far from where we're going so it shouldn't be so bad.

Just to let you know that jjef and I are planning on popping up to see toots at the weekend.

Give her my love (and a big slobber from BB) when you see her...
Thanks Soappie - that is nice of you. I have also taught DS3 how to tie shoe laces and played darts with him (good for his maths ;))

Darts is definitely good for the mental maths! You've done excellently today Dusty even if stuff wasn't on the list.

Dinner eaten, washing up done. I'm going to hit the sack early I think. I ought to go up the town hall for a meeting in the morning. But first I'll put my Toots hat on and do the stars and stuff.

Tuesday Terrors! ~ Bathroom of Doom and Cruddy Study and Lost Landing! DONE:j:j:j

    My 5 this week are....

    1) clean car inside and out.

    4) spend one hour in veg patch.
    5) price up DS's bedroom.

Heading to bed and i'll catch up on thread tomorrow, night all.
Sometimes it seems that the going is just too rough.
And things go wrong no matter what I do.
Now and then it seems that life is just too much.
But you've got the love I need to see me through.

    5. Remembered at the last minute that we had a family appt at the dentist got there just in time everyones teeth ok exept dd who will be 17 next wek and has to be conatanlty nagged to brush her teeth. We'v told her the dentst has told her the hygenist everyone but will she listen nope and now shes got the first signs of gum desease, she could lose her front teeth by the time shes thirty if she doesnt start looking after them when we told her this she just shruged and said that was years away yet .She should have had braces when she was 14 but because of her lack of brushing she couldnt have them she even had a goal to reach if there was improvement for six months they'd reconsider but she didnt even try.I used to stand over her i'v even brushed them myself but shes 17 now its up to her.
OOps don't know what went wrong there

Mind you, I busted one of my team today - posting on facebook while at work ... everyone else (also at work at the time) thinks it's hilarious!
Do you mean you busted her because you were on FB too? LOL that's hilarious! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Jinky are you ok? Why did you have a meltdown?

SSL, what’s percy pigs? Sorry your house got messed up after all your hard work

I'm afraid I have to confess to doing nothing at all today apart from tidying a bit this morning and having my support worker over at lunchtime. I'm feeling really rubbish again, I feel like that virus has come back. Managed to have a bath as DH insisted I had one (he said I was smelly :o) but didn't have the energy to wash my hair. Have basically spent the evening holding my head in my hands and whimpering. Ache all over, headache, completely exhausted, raging thirst, sore throat - been drinking gallons of water today but the thirst just won't go

    night night everyone

    Had a minor meltdown today:o

Jinky - when Soappie takes on the personna of Toots she can be ruthless and hard. I don't shout, but I look sternly in your direction over the top of my glasses and say you're not supposed to post until you can tell us exactly what you have achieved flying wise. Even if it's just putting a cup in the DW or on the sink. Now get your backside into gear! :p

RoseP - hope you feel better soon

Jo - great news on Toots treatment
Me - I appreciate it isn't easy to balance everything but I would go for any training that is on offer, especially in the current climate. You never know if the funding will be there in the future.
Me - Hugs for you, its a difficult situation to be in but I would also try to give the training a go if I could, I'd try to concentrate on the payback I would get later for the hassle I'd be going through now.

Thankyou for the advise and in some ways I do agree with you both but I spent the 3 hours I had to wait for DD this evening thinking about this and have come to the conclusion that my health is somewhat precarious and I have just had SF. So getting up at 5.45 to leave at 6.45 would make it a really long day especially with 3 hours of driving on top of the study. I am on holiday the week after next and could use the time to get cases into better order so that I dont worry quiet so much when I am away. I have also decided that if the management take the stance that as I am not able to have students due to not completing the course and dont give me the grade 9 then I will look for another less stressful post - if I have to paid at grade 8 then why work at grade 9 complexity. It won't ease the stressful life at home but may make a difference. I have also decided that if I get my grade 9 then in a few months I will ask to reduce my hours as this will give a better work-life balance.

So not a lot of flying done but loads of thoughts and ideas. I have roped GT (Grumpy Teenagers) into doing some of the list each day and i will try to pick up the slack in the evening - can't be worse than it is now!!

    Tired Me - I have brain ache!!:o
