Enjoy your little cutie new puppy! Have you named her yet?Message from toots
She is going into hospital for her treatment this afternoon and will be there for the rest of the week. She has specified NO BALLOONS, CHOCOLATES or anything else! This is all part of her regular treatment regime and as such she does not want any special treatment from us
Thanks for the Toots update, hope she is ok this week in hospital.morganlefay wrote: »Ummm, I'm not a 'proper' flylady person, BUT over on the declutter thread kind Fedupandskint says that flyladies have all sorts of good ways of helping to declutter the house. Mine is in an advanced state of CHAOS, over which OH and I are somewhat at loggerheads at present(all my stuff, not his). I can't get near any flat surfaces to clean them as covered in stuff. Please: where do I find basic flylady decluttering advice ? I do admire you all !!
Hi morgan! Just take it as babysteps, small steps at a time, eg clear a small space, chuck out what you can, give away what you can, make a pile somewhere to put away neatly if you can't find anywhere to tidy it away. Best declutter is to be ruthless with a binbag and put it straight in the dustbin and don't take it back out!
It probably seems a lot to do all at once, it will take time and just take your time and you will get there in the end, it took me ages to get ontop of things - about 4-5mths really, but I got there in the end.
Try the easiest room first if you can to build your confidence up. leave the worst one until last. Which room is the least worst for you? Then just make a start. If you find it hard to set a lot of time aside, try the HHC, which I use to see how much I can do in Half an Hour Challenge and I don't mind if it takes longer than this to finish this. Put some nice music on you enjoy or the radio to get lost in for a while while you try this.

ETA - I can't believe Pigpen's using WINTER as an excuse to make us to through coats, bags and shoes again... there is no way she's going to make me reduce my shoe collection, and you simply can't have too many bags or coats! It may feel like winter already, but there's the whole 'summer' holiday to get through first!0 -
