Sorry for this whinge..but I have no-one else to let off steam to.

I am feeling like carpe today, have aches all over, my finger joints and ankle/knee joints are exceptionally sore. I have a temp of 38, it jumped from 37.1 this morning. I have a small sniffle but nothing else, and I am basically feeling very sorry for myself.

Just rung DH up to mention to him that he had better check what the procedure is for his offices if a spouse/partner has swine flu, whether they have to go in or stay at home for 5 days..or whatever the time off is.

Well talk about not very sensitive, he said it is probably where I overdid it yesterday. We were at the County Show for about 6 hours, but this feels different somehow. I started getting the aches last night and went to bed early, now if it was my ME then it would slowly start to ease off today and would be eased with paracetamol and ibuprofen. But it hasn't touched it, apart from sending me to sleep for most of the day.

To say I am worried is an understatement, I can feel myself building up with tears and he isn't even worried.

I've just stripped my bed, as I am still doing housework etc.. And I feel like I have been run over by a bulldozer.. And to tell you the truth I won't get any help from him tonight, that I do know.

I want to go back to bed, or at least curl up on the sofa but I still have the cat trays to clean, the hoovering upstairs to do and the bed to remake, oh and get the washing in from outside.

Oh well maybe I can work it out of my system..lol

So sorry for dumping this on here.. Thanks for "listening"..

  • Natty God Bless, just get back into bed with a cup of something warm and a novel and say "boswelox" to the housework for today.

It will wait for you, I promise!!

Natty... (((hugs))) sorry you're feeling so rough love. Now I don't know what your DH is like, but I have to put myself in bed before anyone in the house realises I'm ill. For years I'd carry on when I was feeling ill, hoping that someone would notice I was poorly, and say

" oh, blimey love, you're so ill, and yet, here you are working so hard. Get yourself up to bed, and let me bring you a cup of tea"

But you know what I realised.... it's was never going to happen. Now, when I'm ill, I go to bed, and I let them all get on with it. If I don't I'm twice as ill because I haven't rested when I should have.

I think you should phone your DH, tell him you're feeling like hell, and you're going to bed. You need him to cook tea when he gets in. If it's simply that you'd overdone it yesterday, your sleep earlier would have gone some way to fixing it for you.
Even if it isn't SF, you feel dreadful and should be taking care of you. (((hugs))) again.
