    Hi all,

It has all gone wrong for me, my 3 out of 4 clean rooms are looking a bit worse for wear! No wonder I live alone, it's always like this when OH has been down at the weekend, I feel bad going behind him cleaning up so I have to leave it and look like it's not bothering me! He does do the dishes etc., but always splashes water on the floor and it really annoys me - ah just needed to get that off my chest!

I'm not the tidiest person but I am trying to keep everything nice.

Anyway my 5 things this week are:

    1. Sort through suitcase - NEEDS TO BE DONE
    2. Sort through toiletries - NEEDS TO BE DONE
    3. Buy bits & bobs for hols
    4. Fill in Esta form
    5. Pay Visa bills
  • YAY!! just done my first HHC and i managed to
    hoover all downstairs :D
empty out all 4 kitchen drawers and clean them and tidy them!!:D
so much so that i chucked out a carrier bag full of rubbish, half a bag that doesn't belong in there and i now have one empty drawer!!!!:j:D

now i need to find homes for the half a bag of stuff from the drawers and quite possibly tomorrow have a rejig of the kitchen so i don't have an empty drawer!! lol

Off for another HHC, S and S bathroom/downstairs loo (aiming for a thorough one), and perhaps mop the floors too if energy levels don't fail me!

At work... I've managed to find something interesting to do which may result in a trip to Edinburgh at the end of next week, so I could check up on Toots at the weekend :D ... here's hoping I can blag it... I haven't been to Edinburgh for years (and if I do go, hopefully I can arrange to meet a few other Scottish flyladies too!)

I would be up for a little flylady meet up if there is one going? See if Jjef or SSL are about. Are there any other Scottish flyladies?

I'm back again! I started a HHC earlier on and then DH asked me to take him some dinner - he'd eaten his salad for his breakfast as he'd started at 5.30. By the time I'd done that it was time to pick the kids up so I did that and then we went to the library and registered for questseekers.

So now I'm back I'm going to watch Diagnosis Murder and do a HHI!

  • [Me - it sounds as if you too ill to be flying. I suggest that you go to bed with a trashy novel and see whether you can get some sleep. If your nerves are feeling the way you describe, then rest should help. I don't want to give medical advice, but it sounds very much like a flu-type symptom.

    [/QUOTE]

I think you could be right - I should rest and will try going to bed as cannot sit still - maybe lying down will be better. I need to be well for Wednesday as I have training at SHU on both Wednesday and Thursday. If I cannot go then I will not be able to go for my Grade 9 - interview on Friday.

On last HHC - washed up all the yukky baking trays and some other bits
    DS wiped up
cleared another worktop but need to clean it

Can't hang out washing as the clouds are threatening rain and next door's garden is full of workmen (too embaressed to hang out my not so smalls :o) will have to wait for them to go!!

The shoe box is fine if things stay put. If you're losing stuff, then you need a different solution. I have a tiny safe which I use for my good stuff if I'm either away or have people (whether workmen or people I know well, sad as it may seem) in and out of the house. I also have a hidden drawer. I'm fairly relaxed about it at the moment as I live on my own, but when I shared a house I had to make sure it was secure. The safe is also useful for vital documents... as long as you remember to put them in there :o
My parents have a fire proof box for all their vital documents - passports, house insurance etc which is great, I keep saying to DH we should get one. If your house burns down and all your documents are destroyed, how do you know who to ring to sort out claiming on your insurance! Plus it's a big pain to replace everything documents wise, so I think a safe or a fire proof box is a good idea.

I've done some washing, now need to put away dry washing and put out wet washing.

I'm going to use nearly the same 5 things from my list last week as obviously I didn't get any of it done:
    1. Carry on with sewing up cushion cover
    2. Write card, wrap cushion cover, give to newly married couple
    3. Sort out undies and pyjama drawers
    4. Email A and S T and write 5 cards to friends/family
    5. Get DH to get gravel for planters, then I will put the compost in and plant the plants from MOAM

Boddy, sorry to hear that your mum has more bruising, and I hope the staff will document properly from now on. They should do, especially as they must realise that you will check and make them do it if they don’t – well done to you, I wish every old person had a caring relative who is so proactive on their behalf.

Milliejo, your holiday sounds wonderful, what a lovely place to go

Vanilla hope you find your engagement ring. Glad to hear that hubby and Rees are doing well

Welcome Jellie, Dollydaydream and Moneyqueen and Alwaysconfused and Lbnlbn

Dusty do you mean “the” black dog or a literal dog? Hugs either way

    Well done Crafty

Me, sorry to hear about your nerves jangling thing, hope it passes soon. What is Armour?
